Hockey Stick Recommedations

I've used a wooden stick my entire life, used to use Sher-Wood, and have used Bauer, but now I'm using RBK wooden sticks.

I'm thinking about trying a one piece or composite stick, wondering if anyone has any recommendations. I just play intramural hockey at my school, nothing super competitive and no hitting.

If anyone would like to recommend a stick, I would appreciate it.

I picked up a Mission Z-2 recently on sale at Hockeygiant with an extra blade for just $39.99, and it's pretty kick-ass. It's my first non-wood stick. Unfortunately the price went back up to $59.99, but just check around for deals. You will find something eventually.

I'd suggest Warrior Dolomite.

Or you could go with this if you miss wooden blade feel.

I, myself, prefer the Bauer Vapors however.

Also, see if you can find any left over Bauer Vapor XXX's. They were Bauer's top of the line stick at one point.

Go cheap for your first composite. I'd even recommend going to a composite shaft and blade first. You can switch blades until you find a pattern you like. Plus, if you don't like the feel of a composite blade you can switch to a wood blade.

I'm not pimping my favorite brand, because I swear by Warrior sticks. I'd hate to see you dump a bunch of cash on a stick and end up not liking the feel.

One of the nicest feeling sticks I have picked up is the Sher-Wood RM9. This $90 beauty felt every bit as good as most of the top of line sticks. I'll probably end up giving in and getting one this year. I'd love to go back to using the Coffey pattern.
