Also, see if you can find any left over Bauer Vapor XXX's. They were Bauer's top of the line stick at one point.
Go cheap for your first composite. I'd even recommend going to a composite shaft and blade first. You can switch blades until you find a pattern you like. Plus, if you don't like the feel of a composite blade you can switch to a wood blade.
I'm not pimping my favorite brand, because I swear by Warrior sticks. I'd hate to see you dump a bunch of cash on a stick and end up not liking the feel.
One of the nicest feeling sticks I have picked up is the Sher-Wood RM9. This $90 beauty felt every bit as good as most of the top of line sticks. I'll probably end up giving in and getting one this year. I'd love to go back to using the Coffey pattern.
