I always like hearing Bro Hymn by Pennywise, that was the goal song for Anaheim. Animal I Have Become by Three Days Grace. 30/30-150 by Stone Sour. Our Revolution by Halifax. A lot of loud music is good pump up stuff.

listening to city of blinding lights by U2 ...just picuring the boys skating onto the garden ice with everyone waving their towels and the chorus of that song playing still gives me the chills....the combo of city of blinding lights and ladies and gentleman by salvia was simply awesome during the playoffs

Pearl Jam is the band I listen to the most before a game.

They were good circa dookie.

I think I'm fine listening to my sirius and staying away from pop punk rock n roll wannabes, thanx.

Not a huge Green Day fan but I think American Idiot was more punk than Dookie. Not neccesarily in the musical sense but in the spirit of the whole thing. Again, not a huge fan but they have lasted longer and held up better than I would have thought they would have.

Mostly U2 for me:

City of Blinding Lights
Beautiful Day
Vertigo
Where the Streets have No Name
Elevation

I also love the typical anthem songs (Final Countdown, etc.), and I agree that "Ladies and Gentlemen" was awesome during the playoffs.

and, of course, when we win a game, it's "Simply the Best" by Tina Turner followed by Sweet Caroline for me. :-)

I agree. The Arcade Fire are in my opinion the best band currently active, and while I would never have connected them to hockey on my own, "Wake Up" was used perfectly in the Garden last year.

When I am looking to get pumped up the best song for me, hands down, is "New Noise" by Refused. It's probably a little too brutal to ever be played in an arena, although less so than alot of the Norse metal some of you have been referring to, but it gets my blood pumping like nothing else.

On a side note, do any of you remember the little music profiles that would run during stoppages at the Garden last year? They would play a song and show the player that picked it on the big screen. The only one I remember is Pock's. It was some really lame Euro-dance crap. I laughed.

Agreed. That was the best entrance song the Rangers used in recent memory..and I liked the Von Bondies in 05-06. They usually change the music from year to year but I hope they bring that back next season.

I was losing hope until I saw Larry Melnyk mention BOC 'Dominance and Submission' Damn kids! 'Heavy Metal (Black and Silver)' would be another good BOC before a game.

Give me Voivod's 'Nothingface' or 'Dimension Hatross'

Old School!!

"Sandstorm," "Black Betty," and "Welcome to the Jungle" during warmups. As a goalie, I liked it nice and quiet in the locker room, tuned everyone else out. There was a time when it seemed like "Right Now" by Van Halen was the warmup song at every prep school in the northeast.
