Signing questions

I will be the first to admit that I dont know as much about the teams cap numbers and room as others here.

So I pose a question for those who do.

If we sign Penner is there any way to Keep Scott and Teemu?

If we sign Penner can we keep ONE of the two?

Will we have room to keep Getz and Perry next year?

Basicly if Burke matches Lowes offer this week are Scott and Teemu officialy done?

Bruke's not going to match that offer, Put it this way. If you want to see Penner play this year watch the Oiler's games. Bruke is never going to match Lowe's offer!

How does Needle-dick's contract affect the Ducks should he retire?

i'd worry about getzlaf and perry for next year because your gm screwed himself on dumb contracts to schneider and and bertuzzi.i thought burke was smarter....i guess not. watch and see how many gm's come after them its going to be a feeding frenzy

I dont think theyre dumb signings yet. We needed a veteran star defenseman and got him short term. Thats easily a smart signing.

Bert is eager to play again and will do just fine for Burke and Carlyle. He will fit the Ducks style of hockey perfectly. He may turn out to be a bargain. Burke's a very smart and saavy manager. I trust his decision.

Getz will be signed to the Ducks next season. No doubt about that.

Penner at 4.3 is way more stupid than Bertuzzi at 4.

Penner at 4.3 and having to give up a 1st, 2nd, & 3rd in what is supposed to be a very good draft year is even stupider...err..more stupid.

Burtuzzi is a risk to be sure, but a healthy Bertuzzi is a steal at $4M/yr (and I hate the guy and I am saying that, I am not sure how I am going to stomach cheering for him this year). The big question is: is he healthy? Burke and his scouts obviously think he is and he looked healthy in the playoffs this year.

Bert needs to go see Barry Bonds and get some of that skin cream...then work out every day till camp.

Well, Penner just did kinda prove this a week ago...

You get offered 21 million dollars, you take it! I could live in Edmonton for 5 years for that. And I'd be willing (not that it's gonna be true) to play for a loser for that much too! Guaranteed 21 million dollars...

That being said, Penner was the most expendable of he Perry and Getzlaf. Let him go Burke... just let him goooooo (said in a ghostly scrooge way)

what does edmonton have to do with it? figure it out kevin lowe has just changed the hockey landscape, every gm in the league is going to start doing this and they are going to give salaries to younger players based on potential and what they can do in the future and stop giving it to ufa's.sorry that you take things personelly ilau but its not about you its about hockey

Because they're far more likely to get an competitive offer from the Ducks than Penner was.

Wow, thanks for the head's up. I'll do just that, and report my findings to Mr. Burke asap! I'm sure he's waiting on my input.

HAHAHAHAAAA

Thats why Burke is taking so long to announce his decision. He's waiting for you to call him! Hurry up! And call Scott too get him to come back and tell Teemu that he can play next season for a bag of circus peanuts and a fruit roll up (the fruit roll up is a bonus paid upon production)

If every GM started paying 4.3M per for one dimensional, floating complimentary players not many of them would still have a job.
