It could interest Dallas but we are'nt cup contender yet, I don't think Gainey would be willing to give so much youth now.

Arnott stats :

GP G A Pts +/- PIM Shots
35 9 15 24 +4 30 67 - Play with Modano

Perreault stats :

GP G A Pts +/- PIM Shots
32 9 7 16 -3 22 57 - Play sometimes with Langdon and Gratton

I think Dallas don't want Rivet , they don't need him .

To Dallas : Yannic Perreault , Marcel Hossa , 2nd pick

To Montreal : Jason Arnott

Way too much! They need Rivet, a big physical defenseman to replace the departure of Hatcher, they thought Kleem, Sweeney, nothing is working so Rivet who is getting into his prime could interest them

They just acquired Klemm and are playing MUCH better...

Sergei Zubov
Teppo Numminen
Philippe Boucher
Richard Matvichuk
Jon Klemm
Trevor Daley
Don Sweeney
John Erskine (I)

They just don't need him...

Arnott doesn't play on a line with Modano. They're both centers.

Rivet isn't better than Sergei Zubov, Teppo Numminen, Philippe Boucher and Richard Matvichuk. Is pretty on par witu Klemm. Daley and Erskine are youngsters, no need for Rivet.

they already have Turgeon as 3 th center ;i coudn't see the need of Perreault for them , because Turgeon is a way better , but is also playing a soft game

I figure it it is Arnott... Perreault would go the other way, and some. Rivet, possibly... but a defenseman in the package for sure, as Dallas needs defensive help.

Arnott would be solid on a line with Koivu and Ryder... then move Bulis back as a center, to center the 3rd line

Arnott - Koivu - Ryder
Dagenais - Ribeiro - Zednik
Sundstrom - Bulis - Ward/Dackell
Langdon - Begin - Dackell/Ward

me likey

How about Jeff Halpern?
He's a Right Handed Shooting C is he not? Actually he can play the Wing also.

I'd take him.

I think he is a real, REAL good defensive player.
Juneau/Perreault would be the next to exit.

Caps are looking to shed payroll.

To me, it is either Arnott or Peca. I prefer Arnott, for his size, plus I am intrigued by the positive impact playing in the East again might have on his game (do not remember how he did with the Devils, stats usually not an indication there given their ultra-defensive style). However, Peca, once his groin heals, might be more easily available...

Talk about Jumping the gun man!

If you remember the RDS interview on the 31st, I am 99,9% sure BG never said he was after 2 veterans on camera. And I doubt he would say it off camera to P and H. He did say that as an example of a little hole he could try to fix, he could go after a righty centerman but he never said ''this is exactly what we want''.

Sounds like Yvon '' TRADE TRADE TRADE '' Pedneault dreaming once again.
