Ted Montgomery Mouths off about Pitakenen

This is what Ted Montgomery about Pitakanen in his column:

"It's time to break down the draft"

4. Joni Pitkanen, D, Philadelphia

Pitkanen won't ever be an offensive player of note, but he's quick and smart. He'll be a No. 3 defenseman for many years in the NHL, and there's nothing wrong with that.

Can someone tell Ted to have some Hockey knowledge before he writes more articles about Hockey...

Please read this, folks, as it's not unimportant. The article was written the weekend Pitkanen was drafted. Heck, it was written THE DAY he was drafted.

Bennevol, thanks for including this article and the one regarding Clarke. I don't care that they're both rather old; I enjoy reading these articles.

I'll tell you one thing about the article though....he nailed the Rick Nash summary. He said he would have 35 goals in his 2nd year....at this point Nash already has 23 goals I believe and is probably the best player out of this draft class.

I wrote ted the same day he post that column and told him that he has no knowledge about hockey and I challeged him about him comment about pitkanen but he never responded... I also emailed him last friday and still waiting for respond... My question is to him... How did he came to that conclusion when every scout said he might be next Leetch or Lindstrom....

Where does he get his information I want to know....

That he did, Dek. How's Deer Park been treating you? I don't think they've been cleaning their Yeungling taps.

Ha-ha....good stuff....I was at the Deer Park the night UofD won the championship...check this out...if your familiar w/ the Stone Balloon you know what kind of place it is BUT we tried to get in their but they wouldn't let me in because I was NOT wearing a collared shirt...Can you believe that????? Granted, I'm 30 years old and haven't been in there in years but I remember when people used to wear t-shirts and flip flops....I couldn't believe it....
