Yeah, I was gonna post that, too.
Very aware of his role and he seems grateful for the opportunity.

Who could blame him for being so agressive about joining the phantoms...if your going to play in the ahl, why not be in the flyers organization, your almost gaurenteed to be in the Nhl at some time.

Tim Panaccio posted the whole conference call with Boucher on hockeybuzz.com.

I am not ready to go to Europe, in my mind. I have two young children and to me it wasn't an option. I knew that I needed to play hockey games, in the last two years I really haven't played and I think as a goaltender when you sit on the bench for long periods of time it certainly can affect your play.

good to see him come in with the really good attitude. He has allways been one of my favorites so I hope he makes the most of this opportunity.

+1.

I always liked him. I hope he gets it back together and at worst becomes our back up to either Biron or Nitty, I am sure at least one of them is gone in the next couple years.

never had a problem with boosh. He had a good playoff run and if i had to choose anyone to fill in for injuries, it would be him.

Souns liek everyone forgets about how crappy he is. He's brutal. Hopefully he never makes it up to the club. He stinks. If Biron or Nity are gone, trade for a NHL legitimate backup. Not B Boucher.

i had really high hopes for him when he was drafted and was really disappointed that he fell out of favor here. i was also disappointed to see he didnt succeed in chicago or phoenix. hopefully being back in philly will bring back some of his old potential.

Yeah, that's what I was saying in one of the other threads. His numbers in the last 2 years are unbearably bad although it was only a total of 32 games and over 4 teams. I'd rather see Munroe getting the majority of games but who knows.

Makes me feel better because the authentic jersey that I wear is a boucher jersey...

Every game someone comments like "you got a jersey of a flyers GOALIE?! idiot!"

Aside from a great playoff run in his rookie season and the shutout streak in Phoenix, Boucher has been mediocre at best. Yes, those are two impressive things that most goalies never have in their career, but let's not overstate what Boucher is.

Most likely this assignment is the beginning of him being the next Flyers/Phantoms Neil Little.

Not that there's anything wrong with that. At least Brian got to play in more than 2 NHL games.

Sounds good, he isn't a bad goalie, could provide some more depth at the position which is kind of what the flyers have been lacking...

I never said that there is anything wrong with that except for that fact that Brian Boucher was the 22nd overall pick while Neil Little was a 226th pick.

What I find extremely impressive is that Litts spent his entire career with the Flyers organization. There aren't many minor leaguers that can make that claim.
