Cool, gonna be there. Excited to have hockey back in Cleveland. I'm in the Club level 2nd row defend twice zone.

I've also got 3 tickets to the Monsters Intra-Squad scrimmage on the 29th in Strongsville. Free to a good home, just PM me.

Intra Squad Srimmage...

Yes...for those who didn't know the LEM are having intra squad srimmage game at IceLand on 9/29. I still don't think they have a preseason game scheduled but it should be a good time...

Unfortunately, I won't be there. It will likely be the only team sponsored event I will miss this year. A friend from work is getting married that day and we have the reception afterwards, how inconsiderate of her!

Cheers mates, 14 days!

Hopefully the third jersey will feature a picture of some Perch floating belly-up, like you see when you're on the ferry to Put-in-bay.

Another cool design they could put is what I like to call The Cleveland Eternal Flame, which is a large flame coming up out of a factory that I see every time I drive into Cleveland on 71. It is especially pronounced at night.

Something else I would love to see on the Monsters' alternates - a nod to the sausage at Westside Market. They have some truly incredible food there and I would love to see some of it recognized on a jersey.

I'm excited that Dale Purinton is playing for the Monsters (Perch), and hope he is able to ingratiate himself with Cleveland hockey fans-especially the old Barons' superfan if he has not moved to Worcester.

Whats up "idiotboy"?? How have you been dude?

Thanks great to be here. Its great to be affiliated with a great franchise in Colorado. I am willing to put behind us what some guy with buck teeth that wore #7 did to our Brownies years ago....uuugh!!

Anyway, I look forward to the season. We will fill the forum with plenty of updates on the progress of the young players for The Monsters. Hopefully for our sake, T.J. Hensick will be one of the kids I'll be posting about here in C-town.

Take care and:

Go Monsters
Go Avs
Go Browns
Go Indians
Go Cavs
Go Ohio State
Go Mapleleafs

Agreed, I love Hensick but I hope he doesn't make the Avs
I'd love to see him play here.

Unfortunately I could not get out of work in time. I called Iceland USA in Strongsville and they said its from 10a.m.-12p.m. I think I see a sick day on the horizon soon

Ian Keserich is attending the camp, presumably on a try-out.

that website ******* rocks

well, I just really like the theme they got going on. also, looks like they got Kellen Briggs' brother, Preston, on a try-out there. I'm assuming they are cuz they're both from the springs and involved in hockey.

Kinda wondering why Macias isn't on the roster? According to the Avs he was sent to Cleveland....

Yeah, it's cool. They even selected colors that match the water in Lake Erie.

He was sent down, but I think Macias is suffering from some kind of lower body injury. He's a very good skater and I thought he looked slow throughout rookie camp.

Idiotboy? I went to many Barons games at the Gund/Q and have skated at rinks throughout NE Ohio from Elyria to Youngstown.

Monster Camp Report

Just got back from catching part of The Monsters practice at Iceland USA in Strongsville. I saw Chris Stewart and others. I didn't have the players # sheet with me. As far as goal goes #31 Penner plays a solid net. They only had 1/2 the players out there as I assume the other half skated this a.m.

As far as how the practice was run, having played alot of hockey myself I can tell you first hand that Sacco and Sly know how to run a practice and are actively involved with these kids on the ice as a team and individually. The even have Jock Callander (Former IHL Lumberjack Great) artively working with these kids everyday. IMO a great idea.

Go Monsters!!
