Ric Jackman

Can anyone give me a scouting report on him (strengths weaknesses comparables) and why he hasn't resigned with the ducks yet?

Niedermayer
Pronger
Schneider
Beauchemin
O'Donnell
Huskins

Extra: Hnidy and Kondratiev

On the outs: Joe DiPenta and Ric Jackman.

Jackman made 800k last season. Burke won't resign him as a #6 guy unless he drops his salary to league min.

I really hope Jackman comes back. He has a laser point of a shot and he scored once in the playoffs when he played.

I hope we re-sign this guy. He's played pretty good in the games he was allowed to play and he has good offensive instincts.

I like the guy, great shot and lays the occasional big hit; however, as Jerky has mentioned, we really dont have space for him on our roster or in our cap.

He'll be a solid addition to any team and he plays well under pressure from what I've seen.

His defensive play is really really suspect.

The worse loss of the year, Ducks Colomubus, where ducks let a 3-0 lead slip away in the 3rd period.

Jacky was on the ice for I think 3 goals, 2 of which were in less than a minute.

I think he can be a decent top 4/5 defenseman if he ever gets his act together/confidence up.

in his defense, it was his first game with Anaheim. but i wont miss him, thats for sure.

above average on the power play, average to below average everywhere else. ok if hes only getting around 8-12 minutes. anymore than that and it can get a little scary.

Do you REALLY think Hnidy is a spare? I like Huskins as much as the next guy, but I'd be very surprised to see Hnidy spend large chunks of time in the press box. Then again, you've taken liberties by putting Niedermayer on the list, and in that instance I'm praying you're right, so...

No way does Hnidy get press box time. He's got a cap hit of 770k. If Niedermayer comes back someone gets moved.

Kondriatov will the be the 7th defenseman I'm sure.

Jackman is mediocre; Hnidy is three times as good and is definitely better than Huskins too!

Looks like Jackman will be playing in the Austrian League this season.

Jackman signs with Salzburg (translated page)

it sounds like he will be pretty appreciated there. Good luck to him in Europe, can't be too bad of a deal to live in Europe and make money playing Ice Hockey.
