Perezhogin ran over M-A Bergeron and got two minutes for that and now he just took a nice shot on Valiquette.

1-1.

Toronto ties the game on Wyowitka's (sp?) goal.

The score is now tied 1-1 with 10 minutes remaining in the 2nd period. Woywitka scored a PP goal with an assist to Jamie Wright.

Boy, Perezhogin is having one heck of a game. Nifty moves, nice speed and good chemestry with linemates Alex Svitov and Eero Somervuori. The commentators must have said it about 5 times in the last 10 minutes . Good to see he's getting back his rythym.

The Dogs take the lead.

It looks like Balej scored another!

Nice play by Hossa!

That Balej goal was his 20th.
Not bad after scoring 3 in 2002-03. :p

It's still 2-1 for the Dogs. They have 45 shots on Valiquette; who has been great in net for them.

Perezhogin just made a nice play but couldn't finish.

Oh! Perezhogin was so close there too! He is playing great but can't finish.

Higgins made a nice defensive play too!

That's just stupid, on the replay you CLEARLY see that the puck went in after the period was over.

Anyway...

Let's hope that Balej can complete the hat trick or that Perezhogin will get the goal he deserves!

Nice play by Svitov there to break the 2 on 1.

And a breakway save by Damphousse.

Yeah, he impressed me big time with that play. And J-F Damphousse with a nice save on the breakaway!

Hainsey then made a nice rush but he was far from scoring though.

WHAT A CHANCE PEREZHOGIN JUST MISSED, UNBELIEVABLE.

Well, a 2-2 draw that probably should have been a Dogs win. Bit of a dumb play on Beauch's part, he tried to hold the puck up against the boards for 5 seconds instead of clearing it around the goal.

I didn't see much of the game, but Hainsey, Perezhogin, and obviously Balej looked good. I give Hainsey another couple of weeks in the 'A', let him further develop that confidence and continue to lead those rushes up the ice.

It's good to have so many talented youngsters developing in a winning environment.

I have yet to see Perezhogin play... I sure hope he's far from being Petrovesque.

On the way home from the game I was listening to the post game show and they mentioned a rumour that the green light bulb indicating the end of the period may have been burnt out, as the green would have cancelled out the red light. And it sure seemed like the siren had gone before there was any celebration from any Toronto player, or any indication from the ref. Not a good call, as many of you have pointed out. But the players shouldn't have given up either, especially JF Damphousse, as he just stood up when the puck was close to him at the end of the game, as he thought it was over.

Anyways, both Balej and Perezhogin are really exciting to watch these days, and when Jarvis put the two of them out together in OT I thought for sure they would have scored, but did have great chances.

Marcel Hossa got the third star. Umm, what? He played terrible tonight. One of his assists was ok, but he's just benefiting from playing with Balej. Hossa has no drive at all, and looks really slow out there.

I also thought this would have been a good opportunity to play Michaud, two games in 24 hours and playing against one of the weaker teams in the league, but Jarvis opted with JF.
