i saw that thread about the core stuff and that made me think of my biggest weakness: my wrists

i look very skinny because my wrists are like paper thin but from my forearm up i look normal...so i kinda look like popeye

is there anything i could do to increase the size of my wrists?

i tie a weight on a rope maybe about a 2 feet long and tie the rope around something to wind the rope up like a long wooden peg. and hold the peg in each hand like handlebars on a bike and wind it up and unwind it.

You can do wrist curls to improve your wrist strength, but on the large scale of things, wrist strength shouldn't be a big concern. If you strength train for hockey, triceps should be your top priority, in terms of your arms.

Not much you can do to increase the size of your wrists...

but your wrist strength comes from your forearms.

Exactly! I have the same problem. I have very, very thin wrists and ankles. I was very self conscience of this growing up. But then I started lifting weights and let me tell you, nothing makes your arms look bigger than having small wrists. People always guess my arms to be 2" bigger than they really are because of the comical ratio I have.

And I've been doing wrist curls using a wooden stick and weight for a while now. It's helped build up my forearms and really, really helped my stickhandling and shooting.
