That's what I thought too but it turns out that Minnesota gets our 1st Rounder in the 2009 Draft plus the return of their own 2009 1st Rounder which Boston had acquired in the Ricky Davis - Wally Szczerbiak trade.
It is actually explain better here:
http://www.nbadraft.net/draftnotes.asp#mem020108 - just click on 2007 Traded Picks at the bottom of the page.

Why are some people so dense? Why the hell would the team "fake" an injury, this leading to their best player leaving the court in the middle of the first game of the NBA Finals? It's not like he tried to draw a call for it.

Seriously, people, use your brain, and stop being so cynical. There was absolutely no motive for faking it. He wasn't carried off on a stretcher like some people make it sound. He was carried off by 2 people so he wouldn't have to put pressure on his ankle or knee.

You actually think the team would plan on something like this? JUST for a crowd reaction? Seriously, grow a brain, get a life, find some common sense, and grow up.

The picks were: Boston's 1st in 2009 and Minnesotas 1st in 2011 or 2012.

That's for sure. Anybody here think that the Celtics might break the record for most wins in a season which is 72 held by the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls ???? With last night's win against New Orleans the Celtics are now 22-2. Even as a Celtics fan I don't think that they will beat the Bulls record. Besides - I would rather they rest the main guys a bit down the stretch so they can be rested up for the playoffs. I predict that they will win 65 to 68 games and repeat as NBA Champions.
