Trade Proposal PIT-ANA

Ryan Malone, Dany Sabourin and 3rd rounder or Rob Scuderi

for

Todd Marchant and Ilya Bryzgalov

Anaheim could get some capspace from this trade and also have a decent guy who can score +20 goals, to Penner's place at the second line. If Bertuzzi is in a good shape at the start of the season, he could be a perfect match in the first line with AndyMac and Teemu (if not retire).

Sabourin is a cheap (500k) goalie to backup Giguere. Maybe could play like 10-15 games in a regular season.

Pens could use Marchant at the third line center (Staal and Armstrong at wings) and Bryzgalov could play almost half season and make a good tandem with Fleury.

Any thoughts?

Ok, maybe I was cruel... Lets change that third rounder for a second rounder and Ducks can have more "chips" to make a big trade with 1st round and 2nd round pics and STILL have some good pics left for future entry.

It doesn't even make sense for the Pens. Bryz wants to be a clear cut #1, not in another pseudo backup role.

"cruel" is an odd way to describe it... it's not like the Ducks owe you anything. I don't know what you're expecting, you propose 3 AHLers for a potential #1 and a decent NHL role guy. And then you change the 3rd for a 2nd ?

If the ducks wanted to unload Bryzgalov don't you think they could at least get _something_ in return ?

Kinda like the offer since we get rid of Marchant big contract and get a decent player in Ryan Malone.

Anyway it won't happen because Bryz would be a backup again, Scuderi is terrible to say the least and we don't need Sabourin with Hiller as our backup.

I don't expect Bryz to be going anywhere unless someone presents an unbelievable deal to Burke. We heard all this this last season, Burke is just fishing for offers.

Let's face it, while unpopular to say in Duck forums, Giguere is still a bit overrated and certainly is proan to mid season injuries, exhaustion, dehydration, etc. The Ducks would be somewhat naive to dump a guaranteed backup at $1.3M per season for a lower paid - unproven backup. (Especially when it comes to the playoffs - see past performance).

C'mon if Burke was serious about finding a good home for Bryz, it could have been done July 1st.

Perhaps, we will move him at or near the deadline since Bryz will be UFA (I think) next summer. Hiller will cost too much, so he will likely stay in Portland.

Just my opinion, but don't be shocked to see Bryz opening night.
Yah, yah - I read Burke's quotes which means he will do the opposite - lol

at this point they should just play out the season with Bryz as the backup and then let him walk seeing as how he's a bargain and they're obviously not getting the value they seek for him in a non-seller goalie market.

Beauchemin, Kunitz, and a first for Malkin.
