[Eklund] Trade Rumor: Stars interested in Cammalleri

Quote:
Strong Cammalleri trade rumours to Montreal. Apparently the Star have made a huge pitch as well, but LA isn't keen on moving himn to the West...Looking into it.
It seems like quite a few people on this site aren't fans of Eklund. I've only been visiting his site for the last month, but I have noticed that quite a few of his rumors never really pan out, not that I would expect anyone to provide 100% accurate rumors.

Anyway, if the Stars were interested in making a pitch for Cammalleri, what do you think the Stars would have to give up? Would you want Cammalleri in a Stars uniform?

Boucher would have to be involved in the deal, I'm sure.

I figure that a forward would also be involved, probably Mike Ribeiro or Jussi Jokinen or both. Also, would it be a stretch to send Norstrom back to the Kings? He was the team captain.

No doubt about that Pillard.

It'd start with Jokinen.

Boucher for Camallerri is a go in my book, doubt it happens though. This would free up either Jokinen or Ribiero to be traded for a top 6 RW....our glaring weak spot right now.

Let's assume Cammalleri was on the Stars instead of the Kings and the two were deadlocked into arbitration. Would you be in favor of trading a young scoring winger to a division foe?

I think Cammallerri is a RW.

NHL.com has him listed as a Left Shooting Center.

TSN has him as a RW/LW so I guess he can play all of the postions. I don't remember where he lined up when he played the Stars last year.

Oh dear god I would love Cammalleri here. Deal has to be like Boucher + Smith for Cammalleri + Our first back?

Kings fan here.

The Kings have no interest in getting Norstrom back at the current price tag. Perhaps in the future he will be signed to a Chelios Contract.

Forwards proven forwards would need to be coming this way. Jussi is a great start.

I like it, but I doubt LA will. Boucher + Smith for Cammalleri + 2nd rounder is more equal.

Any team would love to have Boucher, including Dallas. Scoring D-men are harder to come by than scoring wingers.

Dallas may give Robidas and Eriksson, but LA needs a goalie for Cammelleri. After Smith what's left in Big D? Vokoun, Toskala and even Aebischer are taken, so LA may be after Smith, but Dallas can afford to give him up?

maybe DA should be ballsy and outside the box.... send smith, sertich, miettinen and a pick for cammalleri and the albatross. (cloutier)

LA isnt getting a great return as far as forwards but they are freeing a near untradeable contract

Cammalleri is not going anywhere.

Arbitration ruling was just released. 2 years, 1st at $3.1M, 2nd at $3.6M. Way lower than expected. Kings will not trade Mike C now.
