Perreault/Sundstrom.

I was kind of shocked to learn that both wouldn't play because of injuries today. It came up pretty much out of nowhere this afternoon wich made me wondered, is there a trade about to be done involving these 2?

Perreault and Sundstrom might fetch us something, I don't know.

Maybe Julien putting Koivu with Sundstrom and Dackell on the 4th line and Perreault on the first line against the trashers was him just showcasing them?

I was kind of caught off guard about that too because I never heard anything after the game or today before the game about them being hurt.

Perreault getting topline icetime with Koivu out and Sundstrum with Koivu may have been a look at what he can do for you if played with the right talent.

One never knows, do they?

I was just thinking.

A trade for a package of Perreault and Sundstrum may look attractive to playoff bound team not wanting to pick up to much salary. With Perreault you would only have the half of the year to pay him and then he becomes a UFA and with Sundstrum isn't a portion of his salary being paid by the Sharks?

Getting a faceoff specialist who can score and a good two-way player like Sundstrum with not much to pay for for the rest of the season might be a possible deal, who knows?

We know Calgary doesn't have a whole lot of cash (or don't want to spend it) and that they are in need of a centreman because of injuries, plus Sundstrum has played for Sutter and he likes to acquire his old players like Donevan and Kippersof (wrong spelling?). Perreault could play with Gelinas and Sundstrum may be a good fit with Yelle on a checking line, along with their other linemates?

The wheels are going in my head now that Malakhov brought this up.

well, i can definitely see perrault getting traded any time. he no longer has a place in the lineup, but sundstrom is playing well on the third line and i don't know if any of the kids from hamilton will be able to take over his responsibility right now given that we are trying to make the playoffs.
