I realise some time in the past there might have been another Jeff Carter thread close to what I am posting now but was not able to find it so that's why I am posting this thread now.

He got 37 points last year with your team but was just wondering do you guys think he will improve this year points wise? If yes what kind of points prediction would you have? As well what line do you think he will play on this coming year?

he'll be the 2nd line center, likely centering Hartnell and Lupul... which should give him pop on both of his wings. likewise, he'll get some PP time on the 2nd unit for sure... and may possibly end up on the 1st unit if Briere goes to the point... Carter becoming the 'center' between Gagne and Knuble...

therefore, he should see some good production this coming year if he avoids injuries... i do think it's important for him to get off to a good start and not have the funk he had last year.

he shot a dismal 6.5% last season, assuming he returns to a more reasonable 12ish% of his rookie season, you're going to be looking at close to a 30 goal season from him most likely, and given his linemates i would expect 30-40 assists. that may seem optimistic, but his shooting % was ridiculously low last year and he missed a fair amount of time with injuries. so, i'd place him on the low end at 50 pts, and the high end of 70.
