Favourite Draft Position

Holy Balls....Im getting excited for fantasy draft day.

We always have about 10 guys....and a couple weeks before the draft day, we will do the lottery (with envelopes....pulling them all and then going 10th...to 1st).... And then its the anticipation and wondering who you can get at your pick...

My question to you is..... What is your favourite Draft Position.

The draft in question is a snake... 1-10...and then back.

I usually really hope for a bottom 3 pick..... getting two in the top 13 is better than 1 in the top 19....

your thoughts?

I just love getting the back-to-back picks at 1 or 10. You take your 2 guys then sit back and wait.

I don't really have a preference, but where I pick usually influences what I go for with my 1st 2 picks. If I'm in the top 5 I take a Crosby or Thornton, If i'm late like 8 or 9 I take 2 great goalies.

In the same boat.

Back-to-Back picks are great if you're taking sleepers too.

Example; in a keeper-league it's much safer to take the Johnsons with back-to-back picks, because chances are (I find anyway) someone grabs the other before me if I don't have back-to-back picks.

Being last as it's advantages also so you can grab rookies who aren't in the draft, I got malkin last year in one of my leagues /c I had the 10th pick.

goalies go fast in our league so if you get the last pick of the first round you take a top 6 or so goalie and then a stud forward. one guy was 12 and 13th overall and got Lundquvist and Thorton...not bad at all.

Yah, favourite draft position is halfway through the round (ie in a 30 team draft I want 15th)

Send a message via MSN to Lars
30th - If there is a prospect draft. You get the prospect around and two very good players back to back.
