Headaches/Cancers in the NHL?

Who would you say are headaches in the NHL?

For their own teams.

He isn't a player, but Kevin Lowe created one huge headache for the Oilers this season.

For the Jets, Coyotes, and Blues, clearly Keith Tkachuk. Shoot, this guy evicts single mother families, and pisses on the homeless as well...

Headaches? yes.

Cancer? No.

Having just finished Esposito's book I was surprised at how many trades were/are made just to get headcases out of an organization.

For the Blues, some would say that Brent Johnson is a headache.... not in the sense that he does things, but in the sense that some dislike him and it causes problems. He and Tkachuk got into last year at one point.

Other than that, I wouldn't say that any current Blues player is a cancer. The most recent one to leave the team would be Mike Keane. He was a **** disturber here in St. Louis.

He's been a solid citizen since joining the Rangers, which is surprising, but appreciated.

We don't seem to have that problem on the Wings...if any one was even remotely close to being a headache it was probably Fedorov, but even he was just a minor glitch.

Love having a team with no ego problems.

Fans who insist on casually labeling human beings "cancers".

Fans who constantly are trying to eliminate other cities franchises.

Fans who lean on statistics as the sole/main barometer of a player's value.

Fans who devalue the worth of goalies who play behind good teams.

Bigger headaches than any players. :p

Here here!

Anyhow, I can't believe Jagr hasn't been mentioned yet. Could there be a more selifsh prima-donna in the NHL?

Also, I heard from some people that Jeff Halpern is kind of a jerk as well. With both of them in the same locker room, it's no surprise that the Capitals are the most expensive bust in the NHL this season.

From your answer 2 things are obvious:

A) You dont live in Edmonton

B) You dont follow or cheer for the Edmonton Oilers

So because I don't have the bias of living in Edmonton and cheering for the Oilers, I can't have an opinion on the issue?

Comrie pulled a quick one there by pulling that BS. Comrie asked for a trade on September 6, 2003. Training Camp started on September 12, 2003. You do that math to figure that out. Comrie wanted to attend camp so that Lowe would look like the bad guy. Lowe is smarter than that little rat expected.

Dave Taylor, a good player but a crappy GM. He has made horrific choices with the Kings.

Off the top of my head....

Jaromir Jagr; Capitals
Alex Yashin; Islanders
Vinny Lecavalier; Lightning
Vlad Malakhov; Rangers
Brian Savage; Coyotes
Jeremy Roenick: Flyers

Not all fall into the cancer category, but all give their coaches fits for either being very high-maintenance players or being inconsistent in the play game in/game out or even shift in/shift out in the case of Malakhov.

Nobody in Jersey gives the team any headaches anymore. Danton is gone and so is Arnott. Those were the two that did their fair share of public complaining and both got the boot quickly after doing it.
