Modano to Marry Willa Ford

Friend of mine who works for the News here in Los Angeles told me that he is getting an invite to Willa Fords wedding. I asked who she is marrying thinking that she was going to marry Chuck Liddell who she has been dating for a long time. But it turns out she is getting married to Mike Modano

Just thought Id share.

'Bout time Mo got hitched, lol.

A sad day for many Dallas females, I'm sure.

well that's nothing new to the most Stars fans

I think it's well known since last december(?) that they're engaged and will marry this off-season

She was also involved with her dance partner on Dancing With The Stars

She posed nude for Playboy

Mike isn't marrying for her cooking

I caught them both on Cribs last night. She certainly isn't hard to look at. Lots and lots of crosses in that house and Modano keeps a bible on his nightstand. Not judging...just an observation.

Anyone know what part of Dallas they live in? I'm guessing somewhere up in Frisco, possibly.

Just saw the clip on Youtube (had to prove it exists, of course )

Didn't know Mo played basketball, lol.

Nice house, but they're both multimillionaires so that's probably expected. Noticed the heavy religious vibe as well, that was interesting....

North Dallas - not HP, where he used to live, but south of 635/north of true HP and UP. It's one of the new "yuppie places to raise a family," especially as you go up Preston or up towards the Galleria.

And as far as the religious thing, a.) I've always kinda assumed he was Catholic with his heritage and b.) so?

Gotcha. I'm new to the Metroplex so my guess was a wild one.

Yeah, agreed about his heritage and Catholicism and like I said, I wasn't judging him or her at all. However, if you've ever seen some of Willa's videos or pictures, you wouldn't necessarily think that she's be ultra-religious. Again, I'm not judging her and I'm a big fan of said pictures .

I looked up Willa on Wikipedia, and found this gem

Quote:
According to an interview with Access Hollywood she stated that Modano popped the question in bed at the end of October

Nice!

I think it's weird. It's not weird for many people, but through the years I cannot think of one time Modano was interviewed and referenced God. I never would have guessed he is religious, assuming he is and didn't decorate for the show alone.

Of course, the opposing view is that just b/c someone doesn't reference God in an interview, it doesn't mean they aren't religious. "Cribs" is very different from an interview in that you aren't in your workplace but are instead inviting the cameras and microphones into your own home, where your beliefs and values might be more readily on display.

I agree with that too. Still, it was surprising. Then again, watching it over the Internet was the first time I've seen the show period so maybe that is to be expected.

A straight man that spends his weekends sleeping with women far more attractive than any you ever will. Yeah, you really burned him on that poodle thing. I guess he'll have to console himself by wiping his tears away with thousand dollar bills and going to look at his smoking hot wife in the shower. If only he could be as cool and straight as a teenager from Finland.

They're golden retrievers, not poodles. He's had Scout and Bella for years and they have appeared together in many versions of the Stars pet calendar.

For preemptive purposes, Golden Retrievers are a sign of masculinity.
