The article didn't precise it but Kovalev was trying to make a deke between his legs and shoot on the post (his signature move) at the same time while jumping over a balcony but it didn't end well.

That's cool. Real cool.
HE did, it was a Harley he mashed up. And he took out someones balcony as well before crashing into a field.

So what was he doing anyways? I'm a poor Anglo without enough knowlegde of the French language to make out what it says. Was he popping a wheelie while tossing cans of beets at the orphans that were trailing behind him....because that's usually what I imagine Kovy doing while riding a bike.
Went to Gaspé to meet a (loyal) fan (they were prensented last season on RDS). The mayor of the place found out, got Kovalev to sign their book at city hall. Kovalev saw that the mayor has (had) a Harley Davidson and asked if he could take a ride. Mayor said yes, Kovy went 4-5 blocks before hitting a patch of gravel and wiping out. Mayor now intends to sue Kovalev because he didn't have a valid permit.

He asked for reparation and they have agreed to settle the matter with dogfighting. Seems normal in today's sports.

Right, they even said it would be nude dogfighting.

Now there is an idea to stop jersey grabbing. Those are fight killers. If we could only find a way to stop hair pulling and nail scratching, we could have a clean sport. We should consult Bud Selig on the matter.

What? He never said that

The article says that the mayor and Kovy are now good friends and his new bike will be named "Kovalev"

It also says that the mayor played senior hockey and will try organize something will Kovalev.

In other words, Kovy to Gaspé (e4)

Are you implying that your statements are not based on facts?

Sad there were no camera, because according to the description of what happened, Kovalev wasn't looking too good on the bike.
Its even MORE impressive because he took his solo plane (costing him thousands and thousands of dollars for the trip in gas and plane garage fees etc.) to go see 1 fan!

I was in the Gaspe when the thread started but now I'm in Ontario. I'd tell you how long it took but my new watch hasn't arrived.

This just proves what Kovy said in the Russian newspaper, he hates it here and now we see him destroying property that belongs to government officials.

By any chance, did you get attacked on the way by a very hairy man with bad posture?

Yeah matter of fact I did. Just before though, I saw Lon Chaney dancing with the queen.

I'm in a Zevon frame of mind today.

And it only took 2 pages to discover this.

Brushing up on a language is a moot point since the rules state everything is to be in english. Besides which, how do you know I'm from Canada?

The moral of the story, Gaspé is too far and disconnect of the rest of the world that there are still kovalev's fan... I say its time we act, lets collect money, take a kayak and send them the tapes from last season .

Sure it's over an hour, but when I personnaly use "hours" only when it's more than 2, and honestly, I don't know how long it takes from New York to Gaspésie.

Kovalev has an increadible Cessna (414) with a cruising speed of 420km/h. I made the calculation, and assuming he left from New York, it's a 3 hours and a half ride (from Montreal 2 hours and a half). I hope he took some time to visit Gaspésie before his accident because each hab player should visit that region of Québec before being traded.

Anyway, I am not saying it's nothing, please take time to read my first post.
