Ulanov an Oiler again...

Ulanov has signed a one-year deal with the Oilers and has joined the team as of today. Wether or not he plays tonight remains to be seen. This was from the main Oilers site if you want proof.

I will be happy if he slides into the number 5/6 spot and plays like he did when he was with us last time.. he was a warrior and really helped out the defense with his ability to block shots and aggravate his opponents! The jury is out on if he can play like this still.. I certainly hope he can!

If he's still the tough shot blocker he was a couple of years ago, welcome back. With Jason Smith on the IR we could sure use some more grit on d. He was solid before for us (besides the playoffs) and hopefully he's got enough left in the tank still.

I like this move alot. Paired with Jason Smith these two are/were a force. I was disappointed when we lost him to FA. The one game where he had to ice both his feet to get them in a pair of skates so he could play. Priceless.

A warrior that deserved another shot. Make us proud Ulley!

HURRAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've mentioned several times I'd love to see him called up and in Oiler silks again! I'm a big fan of Igor, and perhaps he'll be a good influence on Semenov too? Here is what I hope the blueline looks like tonight:
Brewer-Semenov
Luoma-Staios
Ulanov-Cross/Lynch/Bergeron

IMO Bergeron didn't deserve the call.

I think it's good unless he starts running around and pinching in. Igor has a nasty edge, and can clear the net very well, but when he starts playing Bobby Orr there's absolute chaos.

Wow, he sure looked AWESOME tonight. It's like he never missed a beat. Breaking news...Jason Smith is expendable.

BTW, whats our average age now, I think it went from 24 to 113 now that we got Fergy, Oates and Ulanov. I think Fergy and Ulanov should start doing commercials for Gerital or maybe Viagra.
