WJC players..
Henrik Blomqvist
Daniel Sondell
Monir Kalgoum
Joakim Lundström
had pretty good tournaments from what I have read and all bring something to the table. Blomqvist is an excellent physical defenseman (a bit on the short side though), Sondell is a very gifted offensive defenseman, Monir Kalgoum is a perfect role player and Joakim Lundström is a future starter in the SEL.
Brynäs-player
Patrik Rönnqvist could become the perfect agitator IMO, but I doubt he'll get drafted.
Djurgården's
Kenneth Bergqvist should have no problems playing
in North America just like
Stefan Petterson, but I have a feeling
he must produce more points in the SEL to draw the scouts' attention.
I really like HV 71's
Martin Thörnberg and his slapper, but I don't think his rookie numbers in the SEL will be impressive enough for him to get drafted.
Another player that I like is Luleå's
Karl Fabricius. A player that can put the puck in the net and will most likely
become a very good SEL player in the future.
A lot of people have been waiting for
Peter Öberg, MoDo's tough youngster to get drafted the last couple of years. It hasn't happened
and will likely not until he starts to produce more. A shame, because I think he'll be a good one in the future.
AIK's
Fredrik Hynning and
Mattias Beck are future SEL players and bring a lot of offense. But Beck wasn't drafted last year, after a very strong season in the SEL so there is not much hope he'll get picked this year either.
Skellefteå's
Jörgen Sundkvist might only be the #4 or #5 defenseman on the team but on the other hand SAIK's defense is pretty deep. He would have been drafted several year's ago had he been taller, IMO.
..obviously there are many more skilled players in the SEL.. but if a young senior player is to get drafted it is way more likely if he is currently in the SEL.
