Have you guys seen this interview with FedFed?

http://www.russianprospects.com/publ...article_id=528

some highlights....

Quote:
Itís interesting that during your two seasons in Russia, no one can understand what type of forward you are. Some consider you a power forward, who can break down the other teams. In Spartak they used you as a sniper. Can you tell us who you think you are? They didnít seem to get it in YaroslavlÖ

F. Fedorov: If they didnít get me than they did not need to coach me. All experts with whom I previously worked with knew how to utilize me.

Quote:
All the coaches with whom you worked in Russia have noted that you have a difficult attitude. Are you still getting used to things with Dynamo?

F. Fedorov: I donít know who felt that I was a person with a difficult attitude? Who told you that?
Quote:
Is Dynamo capable of achieving the goals placed before it? And the goals areÖ

F. Fedorov: I am not interested in goals. I hit the ice to do my job in every game. I canít discuss these Russian questions about goals.

gee...i cant for the life of me figure out why this guy never made it in the NHL...

So many gems to choose from it's amazing:

Quote:
I am 26 years old and it’s difficult to change me.
That's true, he is at the end of his career, he is what he is.

Quote:
Are you angry that you were not invited to play in the World Championships in Moscow?
F. Fedorov: I wasn’t invited and that’s that. It’s not my business and all the politics surrounding this are not my concern.
Damned politics, always getting in the way of him dominating!

I made only one mistake in Yaroslavl – I did not listen to myself.
...I needed to listen to myself and not to the people around me, then everything would have been fine.

either that interview is fake, the responses were taken out of context, or he just has the worst possible personality ive ever seen in a professional athlete.

We've been talking about this great quote from him on the Red Wings board...

And when someone is trying to lie to u it really activates all kind of different qualities in a player...do u understand what i'm talking about? We've rached an agreement with a management about one contract, but when we came the next day to sign it, we saw a totaly different contract. Not too many people know about that. I didn't talk about it much. But after that story i've had (still have, who knows) a lot of bad feelings about Detroit (Red Wings).

This article and quote are about Sergei Fedorov. The thread and the initial quotes are about Fedor Fedorov.

Wow, I'm hoping that article has lost something in translation and FedFed really isn't THAT clueless.

Fedor is one of the few players to play for the Rangers that after 10 minutes of watching him, I literally never wanted to see him again for the rest of my life.

Is it a trade that will haunt us? No...., but I would definitely go back in time and not do that trade if I could.

I could care less about it, really. It's not something that I would do or not do. Balej was not working out here. We took a chance with FedFed. Oh well. Too bad, so sad.

Only on russian, but if Fed looked like haughty idiot in his interview , Lunmark looked like guy on last suicidal stage.

Most annoying to me, that this dude (Fed) actually a very talented.

Is this a recent interview? Why don't you translate a few highlights for us? We would all appreciate it.

Mr. Foo-Foo FedFed? Can you tell me what led to you getting your ass kicked by Canucks farmclub teammates and ultimately your release by the Canucks?

I don't use this word very often but I think it fits...

What a ****ing retard.

The thing I remember about FedFed as a Ranger was that somebody blacked his eye one night. I could be wrong and that it happened in Hartford or it happened when they went out to a bar and some stranger popped him as opposed to a team mate. The fact that it happened at all is telling.

This kind of stuff seems to follow the guy around. Probably because of his sterling reputation as a quality individual and outstanding people skills.

I think that no one came to his aid or something too. I remember vaguely what you're talking about here.

Fed for Balej was a great trade..

Reject for reject..

At least Balej doesn't come to practices drunk and fight with his teammates.
