I don't know if anyone else noticed this, but I was watching Goldmember the other day, and noticed a few things. When Dr.Evil is captured, and after he's sentenced to that prison, there's a news update and it says on their ticker-"Toronto voted best city in the world. Maple Leafs win Stanley Cup". Also, in the Hard Knock Life part, Mini-Me is wearing a Leafs jersey, though he has that clock on a chain so you can't tell.
It makes sense, though, as Mike Myers is from Toronto and is a huge Maple Leafs fan.
I don't understand why the leafs are hated that much.... I mean, I don't like them but when it comes down to which team everyone hates the more, the leafs are the biggest winners. There's no real reason beind that. Well, I guess they're an easy choice. By the way Toronto (the city) sucks. But the leafs are alright..... Bah anyways.

When I saw that in the theatre I cheered. Unfortunately, despite it being a GTA theatre, no-one else had enough life/humour in them to make a sound. How dissapointing.

I don't know if you're from T.O., but if you aren't, go listen to the Fan 590 (www.fan590.com) and listen to their call in shows. It will reveal everything. A 'typical caller' has a distorted sense of hockey reality, over valuing each and every Leaf player.

Hehe, I actually thought about that when I saw that greeting. I bet when the camera cut out after filing that clip, he said something funny and accurate like, "ugh, I can't believe I'm being forced to market to these idiot Sens fans. Where has my career gone?"
