This series was a pretty big yawn until the end. The Russian team was a joke, they need to focus on defense and learn to keep there sticks to themselves. Sticking some guy in the nads twice? Typical.

Anyways in this day and age I think a better series would be Canada vs USA. At least the series would be closer.

I just don't understand why there is an urge to rewake something that was more about politics and cold war than sports. It was sometimes downright ugly.

And on the other hand, the summit series was some great hockey they played out, apart from the numerous deliberate attempts to injure eachother. But let's just leave it at that.

Sport express caught up with Cherapanov at the Omsk press center, and he said he's still suffering from headaches and that it's unlikely he'll return to play by the 20th of this month. He also said that "the head is serious business" and as much as he wants to return, this process can't be rushed and that it will be up to the doctors and his coach.
