I want your opinion on this thread

And specifically, the video that is linked inside of it. This is a video that was played on the jumbotron at a Calgary/Edmonton game.

My advice is to ignore the Shames and their fans. Apathy is worse than hate.

The Salo coin was low, other then that, they're pretty amusing. I especially like the LaRaque one.

If that video was posted to a website, I would have ZERO problem with it...in fact, I laughed at the video until I found out it was played at an Oiler/Flames game. That is very poor on behalf of the Flames organization.

It's very inaccurate because Salo's 5 hole should be at least as big as the gap between the Banker's Hall Towers

Pretty funny stuff actually. Nothing like taking jabs at their biggest rival. BTW check out the Oiler's Mascot auditions, just as funny.

many years of mediocrity must've gotten to them.

Rather than going to Flames games, people would rather stay home and make videos poking fun of the Oilers.

It had its funny moments...I have no problem with a little fun with rivals.

It's far from the kind of thing that a professional sports franchise should be displaying, it screams "adolescent minds at work".

I'd be beet red if the Oilers ran something of such a low calibre at a game.

I want one of those Salo Coins. I called the 1800 number but it didn't work. I now feel cheated, I really wanted one of those coins.

I wonder which overweight CrygaryPuck computer geek dreamed that up?

Very classless move by a very classless organization.

ohh...I didn't see the part where it was actually played at a Flames/Oiler game.
In that case, yeah, that was pretty classless. Not very appropriate to make fun of people in public.

It's totally juvenile. But what do you expect from Calgary's educational system? We all know Calgary has never been up-to-far in the brains department with their northern rivals.

I just hope to God the Edmonton Oiler's organization doesn't retaliate with the same thing, a collaboration of cheap amatuer videos any loser could make.

Whatever helps them sleep better at night.

Pretty sad. It'd be funny if a Flames fan did it and posted it on a website, but that is rather pathetic coming from the Organization.

Oh well, what can you expect from a 2nd rate organization?

A classless video from a classless organization.

"Wow, our team is above .500 this year! I guess that makes up for the past seven seasons where we were a total embarrassment!"

If the Oilers did that to them, all 8 of the Flames' fans would march on up north to Rexall Place and ask for a public apology.

What a ****ing joke.

Grow up already.

The Oilers should complain to the league about the video and demand a public apology. The league should fine the Flames for that classless act. Last year "Harvey the Hound" taunted the Oilers at a game. Now that classless video. What next. No wonder people hate Calgary.

Well its certainly heating up the rivalry in our neck of the woods.

I expect the Saddledome jumbotron to show potty humour and fart jokes next.

Clearly, you can not expect more than classless garbage. Oh, and that annual month of good play followed by months of self-pity after the team collapses.
What are we looking at this time? February? Groundhog see's his shadow, the Flames fall back into their home near the bottom of the west.
Completely classless and immature production by the Flames organization. And its hardly funny. But hey, look at that link, it seems at least some fans are getting entertained. It may not be the on-ice product, but I guess they'll take anything after, what, 6 or 7 years of failure?
Hmmmm...is that what they are bitter about, or is it because they had to pay to get Harvey's tongue stapled back on. Well I guess the Oiler fans could arrange some pay back. How about 30 rounds of golf. Say, mid April?

OK so maybe I'm a tad frustrated after 2 straight losses. Glad I was out of town for most of last month.

Those crygarypuck morons are justifying this idioicy with "Duh....it's the BOA!"

The Flames organization should be ashamed. This clearly goes beyond a traditional hockey rivalry to them when they bash a CITY and its inhabitants. It's disgusting.

The Oilers better not stoop this low. I would be so embarrassed if they did.

Someone should tell the Flames organization to get their heads out their ***** as well. Making fun of the goal Salo let in at the Olympics. How 'bout they go look at Nolan's goal from Game 7 in 2000 against Turek?

Yes, Salo's 5-hole is huge.

Salo >>>>>>>>>>>> Turek

I say we email the Calgary Flames. Nothing bad, just showing that we are unhappy with the video. Don't make an ass out of yourself, do it professionaly. Anyone have an email address where we can do that?

Over at another board, a Flames fan just said that the video wasn't classless. Wow.

Go figure, the video is on the Flames official site: http://www.calgaryflames.com

In 'Fan Zone' go to 'Flames TV'. A new window will pop up, go to 'Jumbotron Clips', and then scroll down to 'Oilers infomercial' (seventh from the bottom).

How classy.
