If Niedermayer and Selanne come back, then I pick the Ducks to win.

If Niedermayer and Selanne don't come back, then I pick the Sharks to win.

I don't want to jinx my team so of course I can see a SCF like Sharks vs Ottawa.

Against, fon't want to curse my own team, so I'll go with San Jose - Rangers.

West:
1. VANCOUVER
2. DETROIT
3. SAN JOSE

East:
1. NY RANGERS
2. CAROLINA
3. OTTAWA

I've got Vancouver over Ottawa in 5 games due to goaltending.

at Buffalo in the finals. They could'nt make it with Briere, Drury, Zubrus. How could they make it without them? Stafford, McArthur, etc.. will step up but not near the level of those 3 listed

I dont know what team will win it but I have a strong feeling the team will come from the East or the West. You can quote me on that!

Unlikely....the Canucks haven't gotten any better except a slight improvement on the blueline. If Luongo wasn't able to stop the Ducks, don't think he alone would be able to stop the Sens.

East- Ottawa, N.Y. Rangers, Pittsburgh
West- Anaheim, Detroit, San Jose

I think it will be Anaheim over the Rangers in 6 games.

San Jose 7-1 odds
Ottawa 8-1
Rangers 8-1
Anaheim 12-1 (at present; best case scenario 8-1 odds)

In other words, no dominant favourite.

Now, I don't have the Sabres in the finals, but:

"The Sens couldn't make it with Chara, Hasek, and Havlat. How the hell will they make it without them?"

East - Pittsburgh, Ottawa, NY/NJ/Buffalo
West - San Jose, Anaheim, Vancouver/Detroit/Minnesota

Pittsburgh

I think his point was that just because the Sabres lost Briere and Drury, doesn't mean that they have no hope.

I know, but I mean we still had Alfie, Spezza, Heatley, Redden

So the argument doesn't work because they have Vanek, Roy, Connolly(and even at that, the ones I listed are far better than Buffalo's so...

I was just making a point.

Go ahead and overplay the loss of 2 forwards.

lolz. Everyone other than Sharks fans are a lot more confident in them making it to the Finals.

I guess were a cynical bunch. As a SJ fan, I think they have some holes on defense to address before they can legitimately make a Cup run. Also, if Nabby goes down with an injury...bad news. We lacked heart and grit last season in the playoffs, and I think the team needs to address that as well.
