If he doesn't pick it up the Flames should give him one more year UNLESS we can use him as part of trade bait to get a young scoring RW this season.

Don't be in a rush to deal a young prospect. It wasn't that long ago that fans were saying we should deal Saprykin...good thing we didn't, I think he's turned out to be a quality player.

I said in my post I would only trade him as part of a package for a YOUNG scoring forward. Youth for youth, don't seen any problem with this.

He wont be traded
He should develop into very solid 2/3 line RW capable to score 20+g. Too bad that he is out for a while with injury...

If he pans out, I think he'll be a Dave Andreychuk type: a goal scorer within the paint. When he recovers from injury this year, he should get some seasoning on the farm. He could have used it before he got hurt, and if he's rehabbing his shoulder he definitely should be there, IMO.

2nd line scoring winger who scores most of his goals from in close. He'll get there, just give him some time.

On another team maybe. Don't forget Sutter ruins talented prospects just like Keenan.

Care to back that up?

So far, I'm not seeing how he's 'ruined' Saprykin, Kobasew, Betts or (especially) Lombardi.....if any thing, he's turned their games up a notch (barring that they're not injured....)

Friesen - IMO he never reached his full potential

Sturm - is the type of player who will flourish under Sutter - a defensive forward with some talent

Marleau - the prime example - stifled under Sutter's system is starting to blossom this year. Of curse the lack of appropriate linemates also contributed to his rather slow development. With his speed and overall talent marleau should be putting up 80-90 points.

And under veterans add Selanne who was wasted in Sutter's system.
