100th goal scored (some "interesting" stats)

We scored our 100th goal, tonight and are on pace for 195 (2,38goal/game). Last year we had 206 (2,51).

We've allowed 92 and are on pace for 180 (2,19) compared to last year's 234 (2,85).

The only thing that matters is that the goals for per game is higher than the goals allowed per game. And don't forget, all those 6 - 1 games against the sens and flyers were counted.

I think the slight drop in scoring can largely be the result of missing Koivu for the 1st 13 games and the subsequent 5 scoreless games he played after returning. From our 19th game until now Koivu has averaged a point per game and it is my opinion that we would quite likeley be slightly ahead of last years scoring pace with a healthy Koivu from day 1.

I think a potentail 54 goal upgrade on the defensive side of things is quite impressive.

Gotta hand it to Julien for bringing in a system which best suits his assets, and to Theodore for bouncing back into all star form. Also having Souray playing every night instead of Traverse and/or Dyhkuis and an improved Brisebois helps.
