Actually I liked the prospects that gave me the trade with Nalyd. And I am sure he was not unhappy about it as well as he proposed that one.

Where is the draft order. I can´t seem to find it.

Hey, don't underrate the two big bags of BC Bud that come with every trade I make.

Geographic divisions would be easier to follow and more aesthetically pleasing but completely randomizing everything is the way we seem about to go this time around. Here is how the divisions are looking:

All-time Draft #8

The Red Fisher Conference

The Jim Robson division:

Halifax RCAF
Seattle Thunderbirds
New York Raiders
Castors de Sherbrooke
Portage la Prairie Plains
Montreal Canadiens
Regina Wildhearts

The Don Cherry division:

New York Rangers
Guelph Biltmores
Aurora Tigers
Toronto Maple Leafs
Dallas Blackhawks
New Jersey Devils
Flin Flon Bombers

The Jim Coleman Conference

The Foster Hewitt division:

Oakland Seals
Ottawa 67s
Victoria Cougars
Dartmouth Subways
Dubai Mighty Camels
Gwinnett Gladiators
St. Louis Eagles

The Bob Cole division:

Nanaimo Clippers
Boston Bruins
Edmonton Oilers
Detroit Falcons
Montreal Wanderers
Winnipeg Jets
Calgary Cowboys

previous draft spots: 12/12, 2/13, 6/15, 3/16, 2/17, 8/20, 19/28

I traded Ray Bourque away in #3, and traded down twice in #5 to again take Bourque at 12th.

I'll PM every team a list of their picks later so people can make offers on my 1st pick.

If you don't trust your commish who do you trust?

We trust BM67.

(That said,... no g.m. should be tallying votes for their own match-ups and those in their division nor conference ideally. We'll have to get an outsider to tally or get two g.m.s to do it crossconference. But that's for afterwards, no hurry to decide that.)

Nalyd, if you want Howe and Mario again, maybe we can work something out.

I may be willing to trade down from four, obviously depending upon what happens in the first three picks. If anyone is interested, send an offer my way.

I would be curious to try again and make it work this time, but nah, we're happy with just Wayne or Bobby.

You could go for depth up the middle with Wayne AND Mario.

As awesome as that would be, we'd seriously hurt elsewhere.

Now that we have this done, do we want to set a start date? Next Saturday?

Yeah, I was just kidding.

It sounds like the 15th is the date right now, but I wouldn't be opposed to starting earlier personally. But then again, like I said, this draft is my crack and I'm waiting for my next fix.

It could be done, but I'd have a LOT of your first ten rounds, and you'd have a LOT of my last 10 rounds. That okay with you?

I would be willing to trade down, even out of the first round, but I will expect value, although it seems I'm not quite as greedy as Evil Sather.

So true. Withdrawal symptoms include:

- Getting kicked out of a German restaurant for talking about the "Kraut Line" too much
- Getting asked why you were hoping to draft a "terrible" left-wing in the first round
- Having people tell you that Ted Kennedy was too young to get an award for "political" purposes in 1955
- Having your father tell you that it's way too early to pick "that old Penguin" Syl Apps in the 4th round
- Refraining from talking about Pat Stapleton's defense partner around the ACLU
- Trying to think if I should save a donut joke for when somebody picks Tim Horton, Jim Schoenfeld, or Vladimir Krutov

OK, most of those were terrible. On with the draft.

Was in Toronto last week and I picked up autographed pucks from your terrible winger and someone named boom boom (sounds like a pornstar).

... and don't save donut jokes ... eat donuts. I had 3 Honey dip + chicken salad sandwich combos last week and loved each one even more than the one before.

Took my girlfriend to the HHOF and she was WAAAAY too interested in Henri Richard ...

That's right Nalyd, feeeear me. I'm unpredictable because I have no idea what I'm doing!

...or DOOOOO I?

Seriously this is going to be fun. I'm looking forward to hopefully cementing myself as someone who can draft a really solid, competative team on my own.
