GDT: Preds at Leafs (1.6.04)

Preds are 4-1-1 against the Leafs. We have been quite the fly in their ointment since we started out. The Leafs are struggling (0-2-2) in their last four heading into the front end of a back-to-back starting against the Pens. The Leafs are 5-1-1 in the tail end of back-to-backs. The Preds are 4-3-1 on the tail end. We got our bad game out of the way last night. They got their good game out of the way as well. Let's hope it doesn't become a trend.

As for the rest issue always accompanying a back-to-back game. It's not like we overextended ourselves against Detroit

Mogilny, Nolan, and Reichel are out. And Belfour may not play.

Dude I think he was referring to his earlier post:

I meant what I said, 1-1 PREDS – seeing as how the Preds were in the position to beat the Leafs into submission and clearly had the upper hand at the time. Of course they let the Leafs’ score to make things look respectable, but then it got out of hand towards the end.

If only we could put the puck in the net.......two hit posts on the 5 on 3...

Its official.....we need a new PP strategy. I dont know if it is the injuries or the plan, but something needs to be done. Andreas....Scottie....COME BACK!!!!!!!

what a heartbreaker.

now out of the lineup:

johansson
upshall
hartnell
murray
hamhuis
timonen
allison
morgan
stevenson

gamache...another solid game...noticed him defensively this time, as he robbed toronto of a sure goal in the first. schnabel...hasn't looked too great since he came back, but tonight was his worst game. allowed ponikorovsky to skate at will for about 30 seconds before the game winning goal was set up. decent on the PK, but i feel safer with allison 5 on 5. on to colorado. yippee.

Here's to hoping someone puts a stick into Roberts neck.

McKenzie is a waste and a joke of an enforcer, what's he enforcing anyway? Everyone's ability to injury our good players?

Any clue on how long Allison, Hamhuis, Morgan, Murray, and Timonen will be out?! What the crap.

IMO Schnabel has been horrible. Sure he's big but all he really does is get burned by the other team and get in the box for pointless penalties.

However, Gamache did have another solid game. I hope they continue to play him and we can see him score his first NHL goal.

Anyone else notice how many shots Tootoo has been taking as of late?

I thought Hamhuis was a coach's decision scratch? I think the Tennessean said that.

I get more and more frustrated with McKenzie every freaking game. He is worthless. They say he creates space for players on his line

He is one of those playes that Trotz sees something in that WE all don't.

Amen brother, what happened to the Preds playing with an edge? the nastiness is about gone, I know we need Harts back....but allowing Roberts to get away with putting a crosscheck to Kimmo's throat?...Geez.
The biggest hit put on him all night was by his own teammate.

The Preds don't need a floating enforcer with no puck handling ability.
At least Brookbank would lay a hit and get in the way.

And I guarantee you if any of the Preds had fired their stick up into the crowd in anger they would of been given a penalty at the very least.

Arkhipov and TooToo seemed to click pretty well last night, hope that leads to some scoring from them.
