On Saturday he had altercation with Kevin Kantee after game against Ilves. And Nickerson didn't play in that game, as he was still serving the suspension.

Yesterday Blues won Kärpät 2-1 on overtime. Ryan Keller scored the GWG.

RESULTS (30/10/07)

HIFK 2-5 Jokerit
04.38 Kim Hirschovits 0-1 SR (Tobias Salmelainen, Jyrki Louhi)
06.47 Tommi Santala 0-2 YV (Kim Hirschovits, Tim Stapleton)
18.43 Raymond Murray 1-2 YV (Ilkka Heikkinen, Janne Keränen)
23.36 Tim Stapleton 1-3 (Ville Leino)
31.41 Miikka Jouhkimainen 2-3 AV SR (Charlie Cook, Tommi Kovanen)
47.18 Tommi Santala 2-4 (Tim Stapleton, Ville Leino)
52.27 Tommi Santala 2-5 (Mikko Jokela, Marko Kauppinen)

Hat-trick for Santala, surely the end for Baxter?

TPS 5-0 HPK
Pelicans 2-0 SaiPa
Jyp 3-1 KalPa
Ilves 0-2 Tappara

Teemu Laine is having a good start to the season with TPS, online to hit his best ever scoring season.
Pelicans keep up their position at the top end of the table - 1+1 each for Jantunen & Loppi tonight, Niemi with his 3rd shut-out (24 saves).

OT: what happened between Nickerson and Kantee after the game the other day? Nickerson seems a clown.

Kantee was going to the locker room after the game when Nickerson showed up and started to threaten Kantee and then pushed him. Matt got 5 more games for his suspension because of this.

Not looking good for Baxter...I am amazed that he`s not fired yet. In the other hand HIFK management says that they fully trust Baxter`s coaching..

and btw. Jokerit`s game looked great against Lukko on Sunday. Lukko also played well and the hole game was really entertaining offense minded hockey. Leino has found monster groove and his game is pleasure for eyes. Always something hapening when he gets the puck. Rita also starts to wake up and he had a strong game.

They are seriously wasting money and a roster spot on Nickerson, he is just acting like a "freak in a fu*kin side show" (Reggie Dunlop) Already suspended for 8 games...

Hirschovits made pretty pass to that second goal. At the 38 second mark in the video clip of the game.

Ilves 0-2 Tappara
Defenseman Anssi Salmela scored from his own zone. At the 42 second mark in the game clip.

Pelicans still in second place O_o

Is there anything that has changed except Antti Niemi's supreme form in net and Matias Loppi's breakthrough?

Just click on the match you wanna see on the frontpage of the www.sm-liiga.fi and then click on the link Siirry tulosseurantaan, you'll see the box score. And when you click on the player's name, you'll see his game-by-game stats. And you can also see the stats of every player by clicking Pelaajat on the main bar. For the box scores of past games, just click the link Ottelut on the main bar.

Excellent, thank you very much. They do not show +/- or SOG by any chance, do they?

Ouch, makes a change to see Lostedt lying on the ice from a hit, usually its after a fight.

Is he OK?

Brückler has been very good again this season. I have to note that if Blues reaches the finals, he is not able to come to start in Div I World Championships, unless finals end in four games.

Game 4 is on April 10th, game 5 on 12th, game 6 on 13th and game 7 on 15th.

WC games are 13th, 14th, 16th, 18th and 19th of April.
