Anyone wish they would do something a little more creative with center ice?

Is it just me, or is the 3-stripe red line different than in years past? Didn't they go with a solid-red? I know there are league-wide variations (i.e. red/white "checker"). I'm talking about the Wachovia Center specifically.

Nice, I saw a little bit on CSN. I didn't realize the Flyers logos are like sheets of fabric or something, not painted.

Ah, smells like team spirit!!! Ok Stevens, you got parts, don't frack up the machine!
On a fun note, wouldn't it be a hoot to put things in as the water was freezing like fruit in jello!!!!(long as doesn't screw up the skating surface). Imagine a pair of glass eyes staring up at ya from under the ice. Ok it's late............

They did that last year. It was called a "McDonalds ad." Everyone got a great laugh when it started peaking through the ice surface during a game. What a hoot!

Anticipation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Back with a vengeance.

http://www.hockeybuzz.com/blog.php?post_id=9372

Back with a vengeance.

That's one of the marketing slogans the Flyers have thrown out for the season as training camp officially opens today at Skate Zone.

Ok, I will try to quantify the feeling in camp as to anticipation after last year's total meltdown: a [Hockey]buzz! Really, it’s everywhere in camp. I don’t think there has been this much anticipation of a season since 1996 " deep in the heart of the Lindros Era _ when the Flyers vacated the Spectrum for their new home across the parking lot.

That Lindros-led team under Terry Murray seemed destined for the Cup. They made the Final only to be swept by Detroit. That’s the last time I felt this kind of buzz around the Flyers.

“It’s exciting seeing all the faces finally coming together,” Danny Briere said. “I am going to spend more time with these guys this season than my own family.”

Stevens’ other lines are different, to start camp, from mine, but I would like to see Jeff Carter centering Scottie Upshall and Scott Hartnell.
And put Lupul where?

Oh right, based on Timmy P's first line of Gagne-Briere-Knuble too. Ah.

That's what I have been worried about. Someone has to be on the 3rd line and realistically it's either Upshall or Knuble because I don't think it will be Lupul.
