I seen this driving around in a cab, in New York. It seemed very interesting. I would suspect jerseys and such to be sold. Collectibles as well.

Looks awesome. I saw it first on Christmas day when I went to see the tree - I took pictures of the big picture of Crosby (to which we chanted "CROSBY SUCKS!" when the Rangers had the party bus during the Playoffs after passing it ).

I would hope it's alot like the NBA Store - which is an outstanding store itself. If they base it after that, I am going to be spending alot of cash there.

Might be cool to walk around in, but I'm sure it'll be crazily overpriced.

Trash it next time the NHL decides to screw us.

I work across the street from it . There's been no work going on in the building. Unless they start within the next month , it won't be ready for this coming season.

NHL Store to open Oct 5 in midtown (now Oct 12)

I walked by the new NHL store yesterday (47th and 6th) and the place looked like it would never be open in time for the season. A guy who looked in charge of the operation happened to be outside the store so I asked him when they will be opening. To my surprise he said October 5th and that they should be completely done perhaps a few days before that. The place looks big, from what I read online 6,700 sq feet. Should be a pretty cool place to swing by when in the area. Apparently the NHL offices will also be moved to the same building upstairs.

So if the NHL screws over the Rangers we can wait outside for Bettman

I saw this store and the posters last year during a visit up there. I am excited to see what it has to offer and hopefully unlike most stores up there they will have a good selection of Rangers gear. I'm gonna visit

Whaaaaaaaaaaat?? This is awesome!!

I hated the fact that they had an NBA store but no NHL store. Sweet....I'll make sure to check it out when it opens.

Hopefully their Jerseys don't cost as much as they do at Cosbys...but, it IS in Manhattan so I guess I can kiss those dreams goodbye.

Awesome. I'm coming down to NYC on the 13th for the NYR/OTT game, so I will have to stop by the NHL store.

Not sure why everyone is so excited. I am willing to bet the stuff will be VERY overpriced.

Is there any NHL players or execs going to be there for the opening? Like If I go to the opening will Bettman cut the ribbon or something?

This is like the 4th thread on this.

BTW... Cosby's replica jerseys with name and number are more expensive because the names and numbers are stitched into the replica jersey, not heat sealed or glued like you find at all other retailers.

I can't wait for this store to open. As for prices, alot of times the NBA Store has alot of stuff on sale, so hopefully the NHL Store will be along the same lines.

I'll more than likely be there the day it opens.
