This is my gf's first year now and I am gonna make her a hockey fan, she became an Avery fan but thats rough right now Hopefully she becomes a big fan soon so I can cry on her shoulders without being called immature

I am seriously thinking about taking Friday off of work and taking a train ride up to check this place out.

haven't been in the city for a couple months maybe I'll go check out the store.
I walked along 7th avenue between 31st and 32nd at about 2:30 today (They were supposed to be there between 2pm and 7pm) and I didn't see any signs of these "keys."

I'll probably try again tomorrow at a different location.

A buddy of mine was in the actual store today trying to get a job, he said the place is totally amazing. The manager he talked to is an Islanders fan though...

I posted some pictures of the store on post #16 and #17 in this thread.
http://hfboards.com/showthread.php?t=428731

Info how to get there is here:
http://www.nhl.com/store/

If you are in the area, I'd definitely check it out. It is going to be a couple of weeks for the store to be fully stocked, but there is apparel to be bought there.

That reminds me of a funny joke I heard from Dave Foley when I met him a few years ago. I was about to post it here, but I forgot how uber-sensitive people can be here. PM me if you want to hear it.

Can someone please ask Glenn what really happened in the hot tub in Augsburg, Germany when he playing for the Bundesliga team there? I know it involved lots of alcohol and multiple women far younger than he.

Wow. I wouldn't mind meeting any of those players.....but Eric Cairns??? Was P.J. Stock not available? Glenn, Dano and Middleton would be cool.

I thought it was horrible , RBK smeared everywhere. Everything was over priced , which we all new before hand. $180 RBK stick, $119 helemts , pucks $10 a peice. It wasn'r fan friendly. No interactive games . But they built a Starbucks inside which doesn't make sense since on the other side of the bldg. wall.... another Starbucks exists.

I'm hoping by tomorrow and for the weeks to come they'll get things rolling

I'm going to go to the opening tomorrow afternoon. Regardless of what some people say, I'm very excited to have a store like this here.

I work in the building. There is a line on 6th avenue right now, and the stanley cup is outside under a tent on the corner of 47th and 6th. Cool to see so many people excited about hockey.

I went there today. It was awesome. The NHL did a great job with the block party, they had Starbucks samples, trivia, I met Glenn Anderson, Rick Middleton, Ken Daneyko, Bruce Driver, Butch Goring and Eric Cairns (who, unfortunately, is a really nice guy). And the prices aren't as bad as I thought they'd be. Very cool store. And a great crowd today - lots of different fans.

Happened to be walking by there last night and it was open. I walked around the store for 30 mins waiting for my girl to get out of work. Some pretty cool stuff, prices aren't too bad. Some cool shows on the TVs, they will have games on from center ice after 7 when they start. It's a good store. Not sure how well the non metro area teams gear is going to sell, theres quite a huge selection of irrelevant teams like nashville in the store, but lots of vintage stuff which is something I will buy a lot of. I managed to leave the store without buying anything but I doubt that will happen again.
