Avery talking smack

I don't know if this has been posted yet but it turns out Sean Avery has it in for a few of the canucks. In an interveiw with ESPN a few weeks ago, he just kept talking about the canucks.

Here's a link to an article from sportsnet.ca website talking about Avery taking his shots and what the canucks he targeted had to say about it.

Avery takes his shots

One of the Canucks should kick Avery's ass, he is a punk plain and simple.

lol. All the Canucks took it pretty lightly... nice try Avery.

The best comment was to keep his mouth shut till he plays a year. It's true too kinda. No one listens to rookies.

Put Brookbank on the ice, and have him take the two minitue insitgating if needed. Avery has long deserved a beating for his antics. Brookbank would absolutely pummel him...

Wouldn't that make the Kings goon go after Cooke or something then?

Honestly, I hope the Canucks just ignore the guy and just put pucks in the net. But if he and Cooke end up going at it, he'd better enjoy having a shiner.

Personally I like Avery, and I would hope the Canucks are smart enough not to throw the game away chasing him around all night. I don't think much will come of this.

That is exactly what Avery is trying to do, get the Canucks to fall for his antics. Hopefully the team just ignores him, and if not, Brookbank can lay a beating on him.

If you think Andy Murray would dress anyone close to being a goon your head is not on right. The Kings wouldn't go after anyone no matter who gets run.

Avery pulled this same stunt when he was with the wings against Colorado. He cut a meaningless interview where he bashed some Avalanche in the media.

that game, Scott Parker took like 2 penalties chasing Avery around the ice. After the 2nd one, you could see Sean Avery skate in the background as the refs were guiding Parker away, and he said "way to go you big idiot." Parker didnt play much after that. Avery did his job, and di his job very well.

If the guy can just stop taking stupid penalties, hed be a great asset. but thats why Detroit had no issue in Trading him, and its why hes not fitting in perfectly in LA. He's got the hockey smarts of Dallas Drake. both have a roll, both play the roll well, but both are so dumb they don't know when to quit, when to move on, or when to act.

Actually the reason he's not fitting in perfectly in LA is because he's the only one that plays with any heart. 110% every shift. Well, Sim does too.

The best way to get this ego-maniac back is 2 ways. First, have him pick a fight with someone that he doesn't know can fight, and hopefully recieve the beating he so well deserves. Secondly, draw Avery into a penalty, and let him wear the Goat Ears while the other team scores on the PP.

I don't know why you guys are getting worked up over this. Canuck players have said stupid things too to the media.

Avery is doing what he does best and thats to get the other team mad to take stupid penalties by running at him or pull a stupid penalty like he did against the Yotes.

Looks like Avery might not play tonight after all... he's in Murray's doghouse. Darn, now the Kings have a much better chance of winning.

There's talk that Avery might not play tonight, as Murray is reportedly quite upset with him. We might not get to see our pest clash. :p

He had a goal and an assist and was +2 last night so I'd be shocked if he didnt play again tonight. He was scratched against Dallas on Saturday for what he did in Phoenix.

This guy is just like Tyson Nash, and I hate him. Too bad they're both in the Pacific.

I don't believe cooke would have fought him. an agitator falling for agitator tactics isn't too likely, and cooke is allergic to fighting even with guys in his own weight class.

ruutu would wipe the ice with avery's ass then hand it to him on a platter though, that would have been a treat to see

Right. Don't kid yourself, Avery (despite his detractors) can hold his own.

One of the reasons that Avery is whining about Cooke in the media is that Cooke whooped him pretty good in a fight while in juniors.

Okaaay, so because Avery lost a fight in juniors to Cooke, he can't fight?
