Was watching the Versus NHL opening telecast of Anaheim at Detroit last night with closed captioning on the TV. The voice recognition software on the closed captioning was butchering things beyond belief. e.g. Such and such player was "Mr. Conduct on a dog press" (no clue what the heck that one was).

The highlight of the whole mangling though had to be Datsyuk's name coming out a couple times as "D-Backs sux".

I think someone forgot to pre-program the captioning system with player names.

What was the deal with that D-Bag? & the Umps went up to him and he had that look of, "What? Who Me?" Thats why the Cubs are a cursed team, their fans are complete A-Holes. I spent 5 years in Chicago and couldn't bring myself to be a Cubs fan. I have a great time @ Wrigley and all, but some of their fans are just complete loosers.

Midwesterners and Easterns have an inferiority complex when it comes to us Pacific folk. I'd be pissy too if I lived my whole life in a dull, polluted grey cold haze.

Constantly

I absolutely love that this team gets absolutely zero respect from anybody, it just fuels them even more. Go Dbacks!

I smell a parallel to a certain hockey team around these parts. Could it possibly be? No, you don't think....

Is there a better team that you could possibly root for? Young upstarts, out of nowhere, get no respect, and all they know how to do is hustle, win, and prove everyone wrong. They won the National League for Christsakes, and if you asked the average baseball fan about them they probably wouldn't even know they were in the playoffs. I LOVE it. I hope they go into Wrigley tommorrow and whip the Cubs 9-1. Am I the only one who would rather see Owings than Hernandez?

You are not the only one. I have little faith in Hernandez right now. Personally, I have more faith in Owings than Hernandez or Davis. That said, I hope they close out the series tomorrow! Go D-backs!!!

ASU won but didn't really deserve to. God damn miracle that their (WSU) kicker just happens to suck royal ass at anything longer than 40 yards.

D'Backs advance. All I can say is lol cubs.

D-Backs proved everyone wrong AGAIN.

The Mad Scientist(Melvin) and Hoodini(Livan) are amazing.

Up 17 to 13 after one hell of a drive by Warner. They aren't playing to win by putting Leinart in there.

Later Cubs.

I love how they never had anything to cheer about for more than a couple at-bats. Four double plays!

Nothing to gripe about or contest, either. They just plain got **** stomped a team that was clearly much better in all aspects.

Even if our boys get swept next round, I'll be a happy camper. Proving everyone wrong by winning the NL, then outright embarassing the Cubs, is more than I could've ever hoped for. Well done, boys!

ASU with a big win tonight. 44-20. Even after all the other "big" undefeated schools fell today, we're still standing! Fork 'em devils!

ASU is screwed though.

Cal
Oregon
UCLA
USC

could lose all 4 of those games easily.

Cardinals lose. Rod Graves needs to be fired if Jeremy Urban is the best 4th receiver he can find. Moron drops 2 passes, causes an interception while he just stands there and watches the football. Cost the Cardinals the game. EVERYTHING else aligns, including Tim effin Rattay in the damn game throwing a good pass and this ****** ruins it.

Typical Cardinals.
