well looks like the suns are done, and guess what? Couldn't defend the pick-n-roll. D'antoni is a bad coach.

Everyone feels like this team is better than San Antonio, has more talent, and thus should be able to beat them; yet every year they fail (and miserably this time around). I don't think there's any way around your statement at this point.

My take on D'Antoni is he just doesn't have the team prepared.

He's run the same offensive system the past few years--rarely going deeper than 8 players. The bench players usually don't contribute when they get on the court because they've played so infrequently.

When the system isn't working (like against SA) the team doesn't seem to adjust and do something different. That's 100% coaching in my eyes.

Fixed. D'Antoni is sooo gonna get canned if the Suns are swept. He has bench he never uses, can't coach defense and can't beat the Spurs in the playoffs.

I still think they fiddled with the formula too much from 4 yr ago, when Nash got here. They have progressivly shot the 3 less and lass (I say that and Raja is on fire from the three today game 4) Shipped out Joe Johnson, Q, Shaun Marian, Tim Thomas et al. We have gone thre 3 gm's in that time each with a different vision.

If D'antoni can make a short bench work then fine, but he has demonstrated that he can't make a short bench work. The fact up until game 4 he has made no adjustment to deal with the Spurs

edit: Why can't Diaw play like this all season. BTW if your watching the game, check out the two young ladies seated behind D'Antoni when the coach is standing. I'm guessing they have alot to offer upstairs.

...and they get the win! That Scherzer sure was impressive last night, too! I'm pumped for this season.

D'Antoni to the Knicks. Stupid move for all sides, IMO. I don't think it will work out for any party involved.

I want to feel bad for D'Antoni but there is that whole $24mil to deal with the NBA's most dysfunctional roster.

That doesn't mean he is the best candidate.

It's definitely not a surprise. We have been hearing rumblings of Porter since the start of the suns playoff series vs the spurs. I fully expected him to get the job.

I think it's about time we got this going again. HUGE win for the Dbacks last night. Great throw by Cojack and tag by Snyder to hold the lead and ultimately earn them the victory. Randy's been great lately so even though Kershaw is a pretty impressive prospect, I like our chances tonight. Then looking at Saturday and Sunday, the Dodgers' starters are shaky at best. While I'd definitely take a split here (especially with the momentum L.A. has with the Manny signing), I wouldn't be surprised to see the Dbacks take 3 of 4.

too bad Man-Ram beat us up the last two days. This may go down to the wire. We still have the better pitching than LA, but Ramerez is a hell of a player.

Webb himself has stopped contract talks until the end of the season. But, once that's done they can just send the four or so Cy Youngs to Chase Field.

Actually the D-Backs pulled the offer so it wouldn't be over Webb's head for the season which is understandable.

Just as long as they sign Webb ASAP after the season. They cant possibly let this situation turn sour and have him want to leave because of money when they have thrown it at people who have deserved it less. Webb and Haren dominate as a 1-2 punch.
