The third line center spot never was his to begin with...
From reports I've read, he's been good, but not overly impressive. Callahan and Straka have been playing center on what appears to be a likely 3rd line, so at the moment I'd say it's looking like Dubinsky will start in Hartford. There's still a couple more weeks before that decision needs to be made, however.
In another thread earlier today I mentioned that we had not heard anything in camp coverage about Dawes. Bang, Dawes has a great day. The view we get is kinda thru a straw. Which is to say not very good. What little I've read about Dubi says he's doing okay, but I get the feeling he's not nailing this slot down yet. Gordie Clark's formula about having at least one dominating year at the AHL level seems to be bearing itself out as far as Dubinsky is concerned.
The 3rd line looked good with Cally centering it, but hell thats a scrimmage. Lets get some games going, then we'll have a better feel for it.
