Best defensive forwards of the '80s?

Who would you rank as some of the best defensive players of the '80s?

I liked Bob Gainey as well for the forwards. But it was more than just the defensive aspect. Heart and soul, leadership, grit. He was one hell of a warrior.

Jan Erixon of the Ranger's was one of the best, always underrated. Took on the job of 'shadowing' Mario in the late eighties and held his own.

Keane was more 80's & Muller while being well rounded, was more offensive early in his career, and became a defensive specialist as his offensive game declined.

Joe Mullen, for all his offense, was pretty good defensively too.
