Too bad for Pat Quinn he deserved to coach the all-star game but Colin Campbell threw his friends in Ottawa a bone by suspending Sundin. Outmanned leafs lose 4-1.
If Prusek starts: 5-3, Ottawa. If Lalime starts: 4-1, Ottawa.
The absence of all the key players will hurt Toronto plenty.
All the pressure's on Ottawa tonight. They're the ones that are trailing the division and need the points. If they can't beat the Leafs with seven of their regulars out including Belfour, Sundin, Nolan, Mogilny and Kaberle they may as well just unpack the golf clubs now

I agree. I'll go with my customary prediction of a Leaf Loss: Ottawa 5, Toronto 2.
People face it mats should have got alot more then he did.He should have got atleast 10 games. There was one player in the ahl and 1 in the echl last year that did the same thing and they both got lifetime bans.
Leafs have horseshoes coming out of their *****, just think this is a perfect senario half the team is injured, Belfour and Sundin their best players among them. If they where healthy and got beaten by the Sens tonight, Devils Saturday, and the Flyers Monday every one would be depressed, including the Leafs who's confidence would have been shattered. Now they can lose these games and the fans and players can say so what we didn't have our best players in the lineup no one could expect us to win. This comes at a perfect time playing the three best teams in their conference which in all probability they would have gotten smoked anyway now no one will think any thing about it. No one will be screaming about trades, every one will still have some hope that the Leafs can win a playoff round, every thing has gone right for our Leafs so far this year, hard to believe a team could have half their team out with injuries lose three in a row and every body is happy.
Leafs 3
Sens 2
The only thing is watch out for Big Chara he's turning into a mean machine, when this guy puts you into the glass Bones start shattering.
Half of me thinks we should eat a beating tonight, maybe along the lines of a 4-1.
But then the other half of me remembers that for some reason the Leafs play well when all is against them and when they have no business winning the game based on the personnel deployed.
With that said, I will sit on the fence and say:
St. John's 2 (Stajan [2g in 2gms vs. Sens] & Roberts)
Ottawa 2 (Bonk & Hossa)
considering the number of key players for the Leafs that either have "bobo's" or have had brain cramps the last few days...and the roster that will hit the ice tonight for the Leafs.......the Sens had better tear them apart on the scoreboard or I'll be one very irritated person tomorrow morning.
Missing Sundin is a huge blow, especially when it comes down to crunchtime with having the most third period points. Ottawa will be too much to handle. Sens 4 Leafs 2
Hi guys! It really sucks that Sundin is out for 1 game, especially considering that the game is against our arch rivals the sens  But we've got to deal with that. We've also got Nieuwendy,Stajan,Roberts,Tucker etc who are good players too so let's have faith! I'm not making a prediction for this game because it would likely backfire on me. I hope that we kick the sens butts!
As much as logic says the Leafs lose this game bad tonight for whatever reason I have a optmistic feeling about tonights game. Maybe it's just the fact when someone goes down we always seem to win but with 5 of our top players out it's kind of ridiculous at this point.
3-2 Leafs.... No real reason why I just have a gut feeling.
They mentioned on the radio earlier that the Leafs will be icing a small market roster today valued at $26mil. Watch for Roberts to carry the team, last game was a good one to get his edginess going.
If Ottawa doesn't win this one there'll be a lot of Nah Nah's going around me thinks.

As much as I (as a Sens fan) would love to believe that logic, most of the times I see a situation like this, the team with all the call ups-usually wins.
Ottawa wants this game soooo bad, it will take a big time effort by the remaining Leafs! However Toronto knows how important this is, and I think our best players will be the best, and other guys will raise their games.
Kidd needs a big game and I think he has it in him. If the Leafs find a way to get to Prusek early on, I think the score could go higher than 2-1. The Leafs need to be phyiscal and play very smart hockey in their own end.
The biggest key to tonights game:PENALTIES!! If we stay out of the box we have a chance. If we have to kill 5 or more penalties, we will be dead out there with such a thin lineup and the Ottawa PP will bury us!
