Usually, we only get 50 NYR games in zone 2, so the fact that we're getting 60 is a really good thing, relatively speaking.

At least I'll get to see the season preview show (it'll probably air again on opening night) and then tonight's preseason opener. What gives about the Rangers possibly being the last team to play their first preseason game?

I personally don't go out of my way to watch preseason games, but if I'm near a TV tonight, I'll tune in. Should be fun to see some of the kids on display besides the usual veterans sprinkled in.

By the way, last Thanksgiving weekend, I was up at Lake George and I remember seeing both the Rangers and Sabres games from my hotel room. So I guess I got lucky in no blackouts.

It appears that way. The initial schedule I got from MSG showed no zone 5 blackouts.

Hey Forechecker

You might want to relay this information about the schedule MSG posted up. I'll let you take the credit for it.

A few mistakes:

Game 68 - says Sat 22-Sept - Islanders it should say Thursday 6-Mar - Islanders

10th of November at Toronto is listed as a 7:30pm start - its really 7:00pm they even have the pregame starting at 6:30.

17th of November at Pittsburgh - MSG says game starts at 7:00, NHL.com says 7:30 on both NYR and PITT schedules

Mar 30th and 31st (both vs. Pitt) have wrong start times, they are reversed.
Sun Mar 30th should be 3:00pm, not 7:00pm
Mon Mar 31st should be 7:00pm, not 3:00pm

-----

Notes:

Only 7 MSG 2 dates this year compared to 10 last year.
6 on FSNY this year (1 is an NBC flex game so it could be 5), last year was 6 also.

Only about 35 MSG Gamenights this year - seems a little low to me I dont know... Alot of home games with no pregames.

I would think there's a pretty decent chance of it, since they are home in the Mausoleum.... I would check around 7pm for it.

Tonight vs Islanders TV

Anyone know if this game is going to be broadcast anywhere? I heard something about islanders TV, but when i asked in the islanders forum my question was ignored.

Sorry this is kind of OT but do you guys know if the game this Saturday, being played in London, will be on Versus? I'm assuming NBC doesn't start covering before January.

I have FIOS and as far as the listings show, this game is not being aired. MSG and FSN NY both don't have it listed.

Damn. Well hopefully TW picks up the package before then. The lady i talked to made it seem as if it were only a matter of time before TW got the package. So hopefully that is sooner than later.

The Islanders website lists that preseason games will be televised live on IslandersTV. Couldn't find a confirmation about tonight, but they're advertising it pretty heavily there so perhaps that is a way to get it.
