I won't know til tomorrow. Looking at the roster I would say no, but again it depends on how Carter is feeling.

The Pirates can just dress 11 and 6 so they still have a healthy scratch without Christie.

Ok so far, it still early to really judge who's doing what.

Portland's defensive coverage hasn't been good overall, but Salcido's played well. He's one of the better defenseman on the team.

Portland, ME - With the apparent injuries to Ryan Getzlaf and Rob Niedermayer, the Anaheim Ducks have recalled Petteri Wirtanen and Jason King from the Portland Pirates.

Wirtanen just assigned to Portland on Sunday, scored his first NHL goal against the Nashville Predators in a 3-1 win on Oct. 17.

He's doing ok.

He has a record of 1-0-1 after playing against Worcester and Manchester. Both games went to OT.

Ebbett has been doing really well. (8 pts in 7 games). WC really likes him from what I have read.

Is there a reason they still have Mike McKenna there if he's not going to play? Or is the website just not up-to-date and he has been sent back to Las vegas?

McKenna is still in Portland. Anaheim signed him to an AHL contract so I'm not sure what the plans are with McKenna and the goaltending situation. I actually think they may keep him because I don't think they feel they're going to have Hiller for a long time and they want him and Coleman to keep getting work.

No timetable on Goepfert.

He's been sent home and he's not expected to be the with Pirates this season. Which is why they signed McKenna.

They were mad at him with how he came into camp. He never said anything about the injury and when he arrived in Portland, it was sprung on them. What makes it worse was it went back to May.

I don't expect to hear too much from this season.

Did McKenna sign a PTO contract or an actual AHL contract? He's a buddy of mine, but its hard to find info as much as he's moved around the last two years. He dominated the E last season and I do hope someone gives him a chance. He's a very good goalie.

Hiller is going to leave or Anaheim is moving Bryzgalov?

The Anaheim Ducks signed him to a one-year AHL SPC (Standard Players Contract). Dineen really likes this kid and if he keeps playing well he'll be sticking around.

Thanks for the info. McKenna is beyond solid and his numbers this time around in the AHL seem to show that if he actually sticks around he can be solid there as well. To me he's more solid in net than Coleman, but maybe thats the friend in me and the Lightning fan as well coming out

Ps - I'm a closet Ducks fan haha

The few times this season that I've seen Ryan he still looks like a 220 pound player with a 170 pounder's sensibilities.

Great vision and hockey sense, and nobody expects him to morph into Cam Neely or Rick Tocchet, but he definitely still needs more vinegar in his game.

The number two pick in the draft with his skill set should dominate at the AHL level, not just score a point per game.

Thankfully, its a process.

Good test for the Pirates this weekend with once beaten Philly and once beaten Providence coming to town. Hide the good china.

Ha ha.... they've changed Saturday night from Hockey Night in Portland to Fight Night. I'm looking forward to it.

Speaking of hiding the good china.

The Ducks have signed Gordie Dwyer.

The Pirates were lacking a little toughness so this takes care of that.

Also Ryan Dingle and Bobby Bolt has been assigned to Augusta of the ECHL.
