Poor All-Star Voting

I'm very shocked and sickened by what the fans have done. I like my Stars, but do Marty Turco and Mike Modano deserve starting roles in the all-star game this year in Minnesota? What were the fans thinking? Thats why fan voting isn't fair and should be re-looked at to see if that's the way to go. 3 Stars on the team?? The only one that should be there should be Guerin if anyone from our team. Not a good move by the fans what-so-ever. If you wanna see the best players in the "all-star" game, then vote for the right ones and not for your favourite player.

I have to agree with you ,how can so many fans vote for those guys, thats just awful, look at modano's stats 8 goals and a minus 19 or whatever , thats ridiculous

The only one not deserving is Mike Modano, and it's not even sure if he will actually go as he realises he has been bad, and is willing to give his spot to the more deserving. He's done this 3 times before.

Turco and Guerin are legit starters, quite whining..

Guerin ahead of Naslund, Hull, Palffy, Doan and Hejduk? No way.

Sakic or Datsyuk should definately have been the starting center for the West.

At least Mario Lemieux wasn't named a starter for the East!

Did Lehtinen make it? I know no other Finn would have had a chance

Do your homework and research before you post crap like that !

DAVID AEBISCHER 18wins, 2.09GAA
CHRIS OSGOOD 17 wins, 2.03 GAA
DAN CLOUTIER 17 wins, 2.18GAA

none of thses 3 have more then 10 losses, look where they are in the standings. Turco should not be there, the facts say it all. He is a great goalie but not a allstar starter.

MARTY TURCO 17 WINS-15 LOSSES-2.11GAA

Not saying it is anyones fault, sure Modano, Guerin and Turco are awesome players but (this year) I don't think they are legit starters.

I don't like it when popular players with poor seasons are voted onto the AllStar team. But this happens every year. Modano deserves to have been the starting center in the past, but was not popular enough. Turco should have been there last year, but was not on the ballot. And to acknowledge our Finnish friends, Lehtinen has deserved it most years, but does not get the recognition he deserves, until Selke voting is done.

Get over it. PD in Detroit would have been a better selection, but he may get it during a bad year in the future. I did not vote for any of the Stars players myself. I am against ballot stuffing for the home team, or anyone else. My understanding is that the swing in voting was not due to Internet ballot stuffing, but tabulation of balloting from games that had not been done until the last moment.

Turoc a legit starter?? alright, I guess every time I read a post written from you from now on, I'll just remember that you obviously have not watched any hockey this year, or know nothing beyond your Dallas Stars

Is it really Turco's fault that the offense in front of him won't score. He's doing his part and is up there with the leaders in GAA. It's simply the offense won't do their job and score. Heck, even according that post, Turco is only behind Aebischer in wins.

Just do what the sharks did a couple years ago and have all your "non legit" starters tear up the game points wise. Everyone will shut their mouths then
