against Dowd, strong faceoff guy historically; by the way, Dowd is in Flyers camp without a contract unless something changed in the last few days

I can't see any downside to that...if having a good preseason leads to good play in the regular season or the ability for McPhee to trade him.

nice job by Bourque covering the point

Great feed from Flash to eminger cross the circles on the PP. Eminger needed to shoot quicker, but it was still a good play.

Prior to that Flash and Bourque almost connected on a great setup.

Oh, and the size mismatch between Coburn and Bourque in the corner was impressive. Bourque came up to his belly button at the most!

a hungry Eminger makes this team better. I'm sorry, he has way too much talent to not to do something if he is playing well.

he has puck skills. His offensive talent level is pretty high. The problem is he has been unable to find a streak at the NHL level (though no real centerman kinda is the problem too)

true enough. i love seeing passing skills coming out of a potential rw for ovy, though. ovy would've buried that back door pass eminger paused on.

Bourque's had an interesting game, IMHO: he has some very obvious hockey sense, but he still hasn't got it synched with his skills yet - clever passes are a few inches off, or a drop pass is a bit off. He's got the lay of the ice down, he'll just continue to need a few more AHL years (again, IMHO) to get them on the same page. Very intriguing player, though.

Generally miscues like that are do the increased speed of the NHL. Just a couple hundred milliseconds slow and you get things like that. But he'll be around, I'm sure.

He's....IMO...one of those players that if given ice time with more talented players...he's going to produce at the NHL level. If he's going to be skating with the likes of Bradley and Sutherby or whoever...its just not going to fit his game. He'll try like hell...just wont click.

He's a top 6 NHL guy or AHL player....similar to Flash but smaller.
