yea i just saw that too. Let alone the fact its hockey, its the rangers on the front page. If the rangers win the cup this year, it could mean big things for the NHL.

i agree. what i hate is when something negative about the NHL like the Simon incident or the Bertuzzi incident get front page news.

Thats pretty much the only thing ESPN chooses to publicize from hockey. Seems like they want to cut off all hockey coverage so they can get a really cheap contract with the NHL in a few years, hoping to build the ratings up and make a killing off it. Thats just a guess though. I'm shocked they'd have something on hockey up tonight really. I figured maybe Saturday or next Wednesday, but kudos to them.

The Rangers made the front page after beating Atlanta game 1 IIRC.

I found out the Rangers had signed Drury & Gomez at an internet machine in a bar in Ibiza, Spain.

ESPN acknowledges that hockey exists? Did it get cold in here or did hell just freeze over?

Hey guys, don't forget to vote how the Rangers will do in the Eastern division and who their best dman is.

I know it's ESPN, but that's just downright embarrasing.

I voted for Martin, I can see him netting 50pts, with the Rangers this season.

No way. Colin White is definitely going to lead us in scoring.

Any NHL exposure on ESPN is considered a "treat" for us fans since we know where they stand with hockey.
Great to see this story on the Rangers! Simply awesome.

lmao, pathetic

and to think Hockey is actually a all around world sport(almost) and it's very good and probably top 3 out of sports, and it's still gets no recognition except (OMG THEY FIGHT IN THE GAME, FOR WHAT REASON? HOW STUPID IS THAT)

Yet....

when Soccer fans murder other fans for winning.....

or when...

Football players keep doing drugs and horrible things with dogs and god knows what and don't even care about the sport just the money because they're all worthless......

espn blows, they used to be more knowledgable and now they've turned into a sports entertainment behemoth who routinely screws up names teams positions and any rudimentary fact in their reports and recaps.

It's good that the rangers are getting some pr, but I view this as nothing indicitave of where the nhl is going.

if you remember, I believe it was sports illustrated 2 years ago who picked the rangers to finish dead last in the nhl...dead last. This was the year in which they went to the playoffs and got swept by the devils.

Look on the Islanders page for "who will lead the islanders in scoring." You can choose between Sillinger, Satan, and Yashin. 6.3 percent chose Yashin. And you can't say they didn't update it because Bergeron is on there for isles best defenseman.

These are all the choices.

Jason Blake
Trent Hunter
Robert Nilsson
Miroslav Satan
Mike Sillinger
Alexei Yashin
Mike York
More people not on the team than those who are.

Also Gomez is listed as a Devil leading scorer.
