Gratton will not play tonight against the Red Wings.

Neither will Vinny Lecavalier, Marty St. Louis, Jason Ward or Brad Richards. In fact, the Lightning called up center Justin Keller from AHL Norfolk to play so they could give those guys the night off. GM Jay Feaster characterized it as giving a bunch of bumps and bruises another two days to heal up so what likely will be the bulk of the team coming out of camp can play the preseason finale Saturday in Dallas. He said all would have been playing if it was the regular season.

I'm heading to the Sports Bar at 9685 Bay Pines Blvd to watch the game. They said that they're about 90% sure that the game will be televised and not blacked out.

Go Bolts!

Sounds like it's nothing serious. If it were the regular season he said he'd be playing. Holding him out of a meaningless game to eliminate the risk of making it worse is the best move. No doubt he'll be ready next week.

Defensive Perfomances

With Boyle being out 3-6 weeks, it will be interesting to see how a reconfigured dman corps does. It will be well worth noting how the competition for the 6-7 dman spots goes. It is my understanding that the final cuts will occur after Saturday's game in Dallas. So only two more games for someone to separate themselves from the pack.

I think Marty St Louis is going to have a HUGE game and lead the team to victory!

Added the line-up to the first post... looks like we will only have 3 lines(no stars) with 4 pairs of d-men....

What a weird looking lineup... 10F and 8D.

They don't have a ninth D they want to look at, we only really need 1 goalie.

That's what I thought it was...when I was watching practice and he was talking to the training and he kept putting his hand on his ribs .... But I didn't say anything because there was no link....only what I noticed him doing..I guess a few other must of seen him doing it also..

We don't win a game without Dan Boyle. Get used to it. We start the season 0-12 until he makes his triumphant return and leads us to the promised land.

So we should not expect too much tonight? then again if we win that means our depth is much better then most people give us

I got direct tv because blackouts are against my religious beliefs.

To be fair, on the 2nd one, Osgood robbed him. It was a great save.
