I think last year's all-star teams had the normal number of skaters (12 wingers, 6 defensemen), plus the 3 goalies.
I know they finally dropped the requirement that every team be represented. However they still try to represent as many teams as possible, and Minnesota will definitely have a player there (Roloson I agree with).

West

Bertuzzi Modano Guerin
Naslund Sakic Datsyuk
B.Hull Weight Doan
Iginla Fedorov Nash

Blake Lidstrom
Schneider Pronger
Jovanovski Timmonen

Turco
Roloson
Osgood

Unrepresented teams - Chicago, San Jose, Edmonton (and I'm an Oilers fan)

East

Kovalchuk Thornton St.Louis
Hossa Sundin Lang
Jagr Roenick Alfredsson
Recchi Savard Messier

Niedermayer Stevens
Souray Gonchar
Aucoin Chara

Brodeur
Theodore
Belfour

Unrepresented teams - Pittsburgh, Buffalo, Florida

Sundin has been on every squad I've seen thus far except DRL and he's an Avs fan, what are you complaining about?

Some of you seemed to forgot, where the All-Star is played at. The Wild will have at least one or maybe two All-Stars.

Well, Roloson would be the logical choice, but who else would be worthy?

I feel btw that McCabe deserves to be there, and think he will make it, takign into account Quinn will be coaching the East. Not that expect him to pull a Torre, but it is a bit of an advantage...

fan safety at the all-star game is the #1 priority at the all-Star game so Bettman won't let Sundin play

Turco-Vokoun-Roloson

i left out palffy since he is injured and if modano can't go i nominate KRIS DRAPER! lol imagine draper at an all-star game. it will probably be sergei to represnt the ducks but oh well.

btw i noticed few charas, is it my imagination or isn't he top 5 in goals for dmen?

i thought he has been a top 6 defender in the east for sure.

there is no way cujo, boucher or giggy are going to the allstar game: if u break it down:

turco is starter
vokoun most deserving
roloson great numbers and hometown consideration
and 3 goalie with great stats on elite teams, aebi, ozzy and clouts.

those 6 only should get consideration
