Markov, Williams, Vandy...I wish we retained these guys. The Willy for Markov trade bugs me still. It could be worse: we could be the Bruins. That organization doesn't know how to draft or scout.

markov was a necessary evil at the time. we needed a defenseman and he played really well through the playoffs with us. i wouldnt mind the trade so much if we had retained danny afterwards. i don't really miss vandermeer at all.

Nate G seems to be of the Vandermeer mold, not sure if he's better or worse

No way he can fight like JV.

Absolutely. Love Markov. Wish we had the money to acquire him.

Markov wants too much money, so I can't say I'd want him here for $3+ mil. I definitely miss Vandermeer though. A solid stay at home dman who logs 20 minutes a night, can contribute offensively, and fight legit heavies who makes just over a mil. I'd love to have him back.

Was your ban more than 20 games? Markov could be in Philly. As a Bruin though, whoa change that thought we'll get someone else.

I can't believe that people run to the "mods" on this site the second their feathers get ruffled. What dude does that? That is some girly sh**.

I can still get on the B's site, but why bother. You guys (Bruin fans) get upset when I speak the truth about your organization and then cry to the mods to save you. Unreal. I won't do that. Criticize my team if you want. Speak freely guy.

What for? They have had 2 excellent draft years in a row and you want to sound like you had something to do with it.

Parent, Ashbee, Dornhoefer, Leach were all Bruin picks by what ever means they were acquired. Criticizing your team doesn't help someone when he is a bigger hockey fan than a team fan.

It is more fun to watch 16 year olds (Chaput, Vlasic, Gragnani, Tordjman, Biega, Killorn and this undrafted one Maxim Noreau) than million jokes.

My point is that there is certainly room for ribbing in hockey discussions. It is also fun to launch ad hominems. At the end of the day, it is all just message board banter.

If I didn't love hockey I wouldn't come to this site. Just sucks to post under a regime.

ouch....what if Mike Keenan/ Daryl Sutter sign Boulerice and he plays next week against the Flyers?
Or Kevin Lowe..who obviously isnt above pis'n off his fellow gms?

Or even worse, with Cam Jansen's bad shoulder, how awful would it be if Brent Sutter (who obvously likes to have his team play physical) convinced Lou to sign him for the Devils...

I'd much prefer Boulerice skating with the Flyers in the Ottawa Flyer rematch when big-mouth puke McGratton has promised to get even for Downie's hit...

they might sign boulerice to a two-way contract. i could see bowl-o-rice playing for the phantoms until we need him to kick some teeth in.

gettign rid of markov to make room for hatcher and/or rathje was a terrible move. not only was his cap hit smaller, he's also very good in the new NHL

i wish we still had him

Not that Eager is a big loss, but Vandermeer has been a healthy sctratch somewhat often on a team that has lost 6 of its last 7 games. They'll regret bringing him on board again, just wait and see.

Your blaming the guy they won't let play for the team's losses?

If Chicago thought he was worth a damn, they would have put him in there to help turn it around. Clearly, they didn't think he would be of any help at all.

Or maybe Vandermeer just didn't fit in the system that Savard is using. It happens to players. Vandermeer is coming home (he should have never left to begin with) and I'm willing to bet that he plays the same hockey he did when he was here the first time.

Wow, they thought he would be of no help, so they scratched him and then lost a bunch of games. Sure makes me want to trust their judgment.
