Modano on IR list

I knew he was injured but this article says that he's been placed on the IR list and won't make the upcoming roadtrip.

Not that he's been that outstanding this season but I'm wondering how this will affect the Stars with having him totally out of commission for a while?

Turgeon already stepped up, he's now our #1 center and looks like his oldself.. I can't imagine the Stars doing much worse anyways, Mike or no Mike.

It's unbelievable how poorly Turgeon is playing these days.

He's been the Stars best player in each and every game he's played center. Pay attention..

Are trying to say that Turgeon is playing as good as a Blue?

I think you're not.

What? Which boyband?

I was talking about his time with St.Louis Blues. Geez, was it that hard to figure it out?

Dude it's early..

But yeah, when playing center he looks every bit as good as he was during his Blues days. Too bad he plays wing 90% of the time..

Than, why don't let him play his natural position?

When Turgeon signed with Dallas, he had Nieuwendyk and Modano in front of him. Later that season Arnott came in for Nieuwendyk. So practically a former 1st line Center is forced to play wing or be the 3rd line Center?

I liked Turgeon during his days as a Blue, but the current situation is part of reason, why I don't like Dallas. Sorry.

Well, Turgeon signed with Dallas knowing who was playing center for them. I don't blame Dallas at all for it.

Yep. Turgeon went for the biggest paycheck. He didn't care about icetime or anything like that.

Oh , I dont feel sorry for Turgeon, but its pretty stupid of the Stars to pay a guy 7 mil & not even have a position for him so he can play to his strengths.

I can agree with that, but I don't think one should dislike the Stars organization because Turgeon is playing wing as Tomace stated.

Agreed, but if you like the guy you want to see him succeed & there is probably an element of anger at the Stars by not putting him in a position where he could succeed .

I know, but it's not like the Stars are out to spoil Turgeon''s career, they just play him wherever they can fit him in.
