The Stepmniak-McClement-Backes line- is it broken up for good, or just tonight?

Blues win 4-2.

Toivonen was fairly strong in net posting a 91.67 save % (22-24).

Brad Boyes scored 2 goals and hit the post with the empty net, just missing the hat-trick.

Erik Johnson, Doug Weight, and Brad Boyes all posted 4 shots (signs of good things to come?)

Goals:
Boyes (Rucinsky, Backman)
Weight (Boyes, Salvador)
Boyes (Kariya, Stempniak)
Stempniak (McClement, Brewer) Shorthanded Breakaway

Sounds like the PowerPlay is better and the PenaltyKill are getting better.

EDIT: The Stempniak-McClement-Backes line will probably get put back together for the opening night. But ya never know.

Nice to see Boyes lead the team in scoring in preseason. I hope it's a sign of things to come.

I was at the game and I can say that the Kariya Weight Boyes line was clicking on all cylinders they looked good.
